Chapter 100 

“have friends coming wet shortly,” Melody said. She had post messaged Felicia and jason, and relicia had said that they were together and would be on their way 

Having concluded the meeting in the doctor’s office, Benson projected the patient’s medical history on the large screen again, allowing everyone in the room to review and anadvær the detalls independently, 

Harold tumed to Jeremy, asking, “Have any ideas of suggestions on this matterda 

“No,” Jeremy replied terely 

Regarding him with a hint of surprise, Hamid asked, “How could you possibly have no ideas? You were always the first to come up with a solution for patients before this 

Jeremy retorted, “It’s clear that the car accident had caused skill deformity and fractures, leading to compression of the central nervous system and the formation of an aneurysm. In addition, the patient had previously had a heart bypass surgery. Which aspect do you think we should focus on first? 

Though Harold had worked in the neurosurgery department for years, he had rarely encountered cases with such a combination of conditions. Each one of the conditions would already put the patimni ina high–riskcategory, but this particular case had all of them comblord. 

He called out to Jeremy after the meeting, exclaiming, “Hold on! Why are you in such a hurry anyway?” 

“It’s just that it’s too hot and crowded in the office,” came Jeremy’s reply, his countenance austere. His white coat simply amplified his cold demeanor, making it jobvious 

obvious that his mood was far from good 

Glancing at him with a hint of confusion, Harold mentioned, 

1. “It seems like your emotions have been all over the place recently, jeremy. I mean, you used to be so 

composed, never letting thing show on your face.” 

Jeremy hesitated briefly before stating indifferently, “You’re just overthinking it.” 

Cocking his brow, Harold said, “It’s a positive change, though. You’re still young, and a bit of energy is refreshing. You used to consistently wear a grim expression, which was quite unsettling, actually. Come on, tell me. What’s been going on lately?” 

Jeremy wanted to retute the claim, but suddenly, the sight of Melody’s pallid face, with her dark, luminous eyes staring at him, abruptly filled his mind. Though she hadn’t spoken, he could almost hear her soft voice calling his name with a smile. 

It was then that he suddenly felt a wave of uncontrollable emotion surge within him, causing him to lower his jaw and clench his teeth. 

It wasn’t long before Felicia and jason arrived at the hospital. Tittany, succumbing to exhaustion, took her leave after a brief greeting 

Felicia tenderly touched Melody’s face with concem, asking. “What happened? You were fine when I called you yesterday. How did you suddenly end up in the ER 

“I was just too exhausted from staying up late. 

“Your colleague just now was pretty cute, Felicia commented before glancing around the EIL. “Where’s Jeremy? He should’ve heard by now that you’re in the ER. 

Melody pursed her lips, lowered her gaze, and whispered, “He’s unable to leave because the department’s been very busy lately 

Felicia, owing what was really going on, scoffed. “I see how it goes, he ought to know that if he doesn’t take care of his relationship, then someone else will! His wife will probably run off with someone else in the future!” 

Jason matriained his silence, standing nearby. He was still wearing his work clothes, a black denim jacket with oil stains from car repairs. He stared intently at Melody before saying. “You should run ” 

The women exchanged glances before they grasped what he was implying. 

Felicia rolled eyes, reproaching him, “You shouldn’t spout such nonsense. I was talking about his wife leaving, but I didn’t say his wife was Mel.” 

a mument before nodding seriously, saying, “I was refening to his wife.”
