He pressed his lips against her ear and said in a low voice, “Rae–Rae, you can respond as long as you want to.” 

As long as she wanted to? 

How should she respond? 

Rachel lowered her eyes to hide her conflicted emotions. 

David was like an experienced and patient “hunter.” He stared at her for a moment and gradually let go of her waist. “It’s okay. I can wait…” 

When Rachel noticed that the man had let go of her, she felt a sense of emptiness. 

Her body reacted before her thoughts and grabbed the man’s hand. 

David suddenly froze on the spot the moment she touched him, and a flash of surprise flashed across his eyes. 

The next second, he saw Rachel lean in closer, and a cool softness landed on his lips.

It was as if she had taken out her most precious thing for him, but not only was the other party not interested, he even felt a little disdainful.

She responded to David’s promise with one of the same weight, which she thought was the fairest way.
