The glass window in the room looked like a reflective mirror under bright light. 

Rachel Grey could see the reflection of David Jones holding a hairdryer and gently drying her hair. 

It had to be said that this man had an unparalleled face. No matter what he did, it was pleasing to the eye. 

Even when he was holding the hairdryer, he did not look out of place at all. He still looked composed, elegant, and noble. 

“If you keep looking at me like that, I won’t be able to hold it in anymore.” David gently partitioned her hair. She could not help but think that his husky voice was euphonious. Then silence ensued, but the sound of the hairdryer was faintly audible. 

Rachel’s gaze drifted to the wardrobe. “Did you prepare all the clothes in the wardrobe?” “Yes,” David replied. “This place will belong to you sooner or later.” 

It seemed he was very certain about the future. Rachel lost her composure. It was as if a stone had been thrown into a calm river, instantly setting off layers of ripples. 

She turned her head and looked at the man in a daze. Then her lips moved. “How can you be so sure?” 

At this moment, David switched off the hairdryer. His slender fingers grabbed her chin, and his black eyes stared at her keenly. An unfathomable emotion surged within the depths of his eyes. “Rachel Grey, you’ve attracted my attention. Do you think you can escape from me?” 

Rachel moved her lips. But before she could say anything, he put a finger to her lips. “You can continue to doubt me, but I don’t mind cutting off all your escape routes. I will myself with actions and that you can only be my woman in this life.”

Before he could finish speaking, Rachel hooked her arms around his neck and raised her head to kiss him. 

He could feel the warm jelly–like sensation on his lips as they came into contact with hers. He also thought she tasted kind of sweet. 

David was dumbfounded. Then he looked at the woman in front of him. 

It was just a peck on the lips. 

The sensation on his lips disappeared the moment she retreated. 

David pursed his lips, seemingly savoring the aftertaste of that kiss. However, he also seemed unkeen to press her to continue. 

He looked up at her, his dark eyes revealing a hint of restlessness.
