“Take your time.” Rachel’s mind was filled with David’s face. She really did not have the patience to listen to their explanation. 

Eddie looked at Rachel’s back and then at Don. “You really got me into trouble!” 

It was a pity that the double bonus that he had been longing for had turned into dust. 

Don sneered. “I should be the one saying that!” 

As the two of them were talking, a commotion broke out outside. 

Eddie and Don looked at each other and rushed out tacitly. 

They saw a group of reporters gathered at the entrance of the police station.

“Of course, she can be self–righteous if she has someone powerful to protect her. Otherwise, how can she stand here as if nothing has happened?” 

Rachel’s gaze swept over nonchalantly. The depths of her almond–shaped eyes were filled with coldness, and her red lips curled into a faint smile. “You guys convicted me with just a video. Do you really think you’re godly detectives who can crack cases?” 

Her words were filled with obvious mockery. 

“It’s true that we’re not great detectives, but you can’t deny it in the face of concrete evidence!” The reporter retorted with a hint of provocation in his eyes. 

Rachel’s lips curled up casually. “Did you see it with your own eyes?” 

The reporter looked at Rachel aggressively. “There’s no smoke without fire. If you’re really innocent and you have nothing to do with this case, why are you here?” 

Rachel chuckled. “You seem to have a point.” 

In the ears of everyone, these words were equivalent to admitting to her crime. 

Just as everyone thought that they had first–hand information and began to plan for tomorrow’s headlines, they heard Rachel suddenly say, “Officer Cole, how many years will you be sentenced to for defamation?” 

“Ah?” Don, who was suddenly called out, was stunned. 

When he met Rachel’s cold gaze, he immediately came back to his senses and said with a serious expression, “You will be sentenced to not more than three years of fixed–term imprisonment, criminal detention, control, and deprivation of political rights.”
