Jane was young and impetuous. She was not as patient as Mrs. Smith. When she heard Old Mr. Smith defend Rachel, she could not help but retort, “I really don’t know what kind of bewitching drug Rachel Grey gave you to make you so protective of her! Those who don’t know might think that she’s your biological granddaughter!” 

Her words were filled with resentment. 

When Old Mr. Smith heard this, he took off his reading glasses and looked up at her. His turbid eyes flickered with an unfathomable dark light. “If you can’t control yourself when something happens, you’ll suffer a huge loss sooner or later.” 

Based on his understanding of Rachel, this matter was definitely not that simple. 

Since Rachel was the owner of the Glamour Pavilion, she could easily earn a living by selling any item. Why would he create counterfeits and carry out illegal transactions? Wasn’t this clearly asking for trouble? 

Before the verdict was out, everything was possible. 

Jane felt wronged and vexed at being criticized for no reason. 

Her eyes reddened. Just as she was about to retort, Mrs. Smith grabbed her hand and gently patted the back of it, indicating for her to calm down.

I’ll get her to correct it in the future.” 

Old Mr. Smith nodded in relief. “It’s time to take her in hand so that she won’t cause any trouble in the future.” 

Mrs. Smith smiled perfunctorily. “You’re right.” 

However, she could not help but sneer in her heart. The public opinion online was enough to drown Rachel. Rachel’s crime was a certainty. 

When Rachel’s verdict comes out, she wanted to see what other reason 

the old man had to invite Rachel to the Smith Group’s anniversary celebration! 

Jane’s heart was burning with anger. She bit her lips and humphed softly before pulling her hand back angrily. 

Coincidentally, a notification popped up on her phone. The system notified her that there was a live stream. 

She looked down to see that it was actually a live stream from the police station. 

“Look, there’s a live stream!” 

Her eyes glistened with a gloating joy as she turned on her phone to watch the live stream. 

The screen of the live stream was filled with red. The pop–up comments were so densely packed that it was suffocating to look at. Moreover, the entire screen was covered with multiple comments repeating just one 

sentence- 

“Scammer! May your family die!” 

Jane was afraid that Old Mr. Smith would miss it, so she directly projected the live stream page onto the LED television in the living 

room. 

She turned around and saw that Old Mr. Smith was slowly putting on his reading glasses and looking at the television screen with a solemn expression. 

In the huge conference room, Rachel sat in the interrogation room. 

She crossed her legs and placed her hands naturally on her lap. Her posture was casual and a little lazy. She did not look like she was undergoing interrogation at all.
