She bit her lip which definitely didn't help with the situation in my pants. "And that is?"

"This place has longevity, I want that for my restaurant. I want you to work for me as a restaurant consultant. You'll have this place plus with some extra cash in your pocket. Maybe even open up an additional restaurant as a collaborative between the both of us."

"Sounds like a great idea, but I already have a lot of responsibility and-." I cut her off.

"You don't have to decide now. Take a few days and get back to me." I responded quickly, afraid that she had already decided against my offer.

If she declines my offer that would give me no excuse to spend any time with her. Because she was human I couldn't just tell her she was my mate and that we were destined to spend the rest of our lives together I had to ease my way in her life, make her fall in love with me and then tell her.

Easy right?

"Fine, I'll get back to you by the end of the week." I stood up from my chair.

"It was nice meeting you and hopefully, we can get further acquainted." I took out my business card and place it on her desk.

She shook her head and placed her hand in mine, she gasped feeling the electricity flow through us.

"Why does that happen?" She whispered as she stared down at our hands.

I pressed her hand to my lips." You'll find out soon enough."

Every time he touched me I felt this weird electricity flow through me. It was so weird. I've never had that feeling with any guy I've ever dated. Besides the weird effect he had on my body, the meeting was..... Interesting.

The money would be really good considering I was behind in both the house and restaurant mortgage. And because of that, I had been using my college money to keep up with the payments so now I have to find another way to pay for college. I hadn't known that were behind until after my father died and I discovered all of the unpaid bills on his desk. The insurance check was out of the questions, I could never use that money because it was the payment of my father's life.

"Jack can I talk to you for a minute, I need some advice." I leaned against the counter.

The restaurant was kind of busy but I was sure that Melissa could handle it for a while. "Sure, what's up?" He was currently making what looked like a meat omelet.

"I got an offer from this guy to invest in the restaurant."

He stopped what he was doing. "Part ownership?" He asked.

"No! I would never do that." I answered quickly. "He just want to invest some money and in exchange I would be a consultant for his restaurant and if that's successful he wants to open up a joint restaurant. I do need the money but I'm not sure if I should do it or not."

"Sounds like a good idea." He sounded as if he was leaving something out.

"Great! Will you be eating alone, or are you waiting for someone?"

I looked behind me to see if she was there, we I notice that she wasn't I turned back around. "Yea my aunt should be her any minute now."

Liz had been begging me all week to hang out and since Jack recommended for me to check out The Red Café, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone.

"Okay, well let's get you seated." He clapped his hands and led me to a small table in the middle of the restaurant. "Is this okay?"

"Yes, thank you." I sat down and he placed a menu in front of me.

"Would you like to order a drink?"

"Do you guys have pineapple juice?"

"Yes."

"I'll have that and my aunt will have a lemonade."

He nodded and went to go get my order. I took a look around the place and it was really nice. White tablecloths and chandeliers hung over every table along with shiny silverware that sat neatly on the table.
