"This place is so freaking nice," Liz said to me as she sat down in front of me. "You look cute." She told me.
Because I had known I would be coming to an upscale restaurant I did dress up a little. I was wearing a white cami cut blouse with black jean pants and black flats. My hair was in its natural curls and I was wearing a thin layer of liquid eyeliner over my eyelid and a layer of lip balm on my lips.
"Thank you."
"So, is this the restaurant that that guy who's trying to buy the diner own?"
"Yes this is the place, but he's not trying to buy the diner...anymore," I added.
"Well, what does he want?" He scrunched his eyebrows up.
"He wants me to become a business consultant of his and possible a part owner of a restaurant his looking to open."
"Sounds like a good idea. Are you gonna do it?"
"I thinking about it. Plus I thought I would check the place out before I decide on it."
She nodded her head as she looked over the menu. "Wow, they're expensive."
"Yes, they are." I agreed.
I knew he was there when I felt the hairs on my body rise. He was standing in the front of the restaurant talking to this petite brunette girl.
They were smiling and laughing at something she had said. It pissed me off because she was so close to him that her hand was on his arm. I wanted nothing more than to rip her hands off him.
Why am I'm acting like this? Yes Ryan was very well one of the most attractive guys I had ever seen but I had no claim over him, and if I wanted this professional relationship to work out there was no way that I could let those feelings get in the way.
"Who's the cutie you're checking out?" Liz whispered.
"Ryan, he's the owner." When I said that he immediately turned around facing us. He looked shocked that I was there but once he recovered he ignored the brunette and headed our way.
"Alex, very nice to see you again." He smiled.
ALPHA RYAN
It was the second night that I had slept outside of Alex's house. She had arrived a little after 10 p.m., took a shower and went straight to bed. She spent most of the night tossing and turning before finally falling asleep at 1 a.m.
"I can't wait to sleep next to her." My wolf voiced.
"Daniel," I called him over.
"Yes, Alpha?" He bowed.
"I need a couple of young fighters but someone that can hold their own."
He nodded. "I can make a list and have it to you, later on, today."
"I need them to have a 24-hour watch other this house." I handed him a piece of paper with Alex address on it. "I don't imagine that there will be much activity, besides the person living there, but I want the girl inside safe at all times."
"Yes, I will get right on this. Anything else."
"How are they doing?" I nodded at the pups that were hungover at the last training session.
"Better." I nodded.
I could tell that he was telling the truth because of how hard they were training.
