"There's something else," I said gaining him and his mate full attention.
"What?" He asked.
"She's human." While his mate was quite shocked by the revelation he, on the other hand, was angrier than surprise.
"Fuck!" He ran his hand down his face. "Okay, whatever we have to do we will get you your mate back," I smile even though I wasn't totally shocked at his reaction.
I place my hand on his shoulder. "Thanks, man, but you don't have to worry Willie and I already have a plan in action, you just get better."
"Willie knows?" I nodded. "Before me?" He asked sounded a bit hurt.
"Sorry, but he was essential to my plan."
"Fine." He accepted it. "But he's the only person that knew right?" He asked but I sure he knew the answer.
"Not exactly, Daniel, Linda, and my parents all knew, and maybe a few of the pups that Daniel assigned to guard my mate's house. I didn't tell them but I can imagine there was some speculation."
"What the hell Ryan, I thought I was your best friend."
After my conversation with Tyler and having to reassure him that he was, in fact, my best friend I headed to my office to work on pack business. I had just finished filling out some city documents when I was about to call and check on the restaurant when I noticed a voice mail from a couple of hours ago.
I clicked on the voice mail. "Hi, this is Alex the owner of Mel's Diner, if you could give me a call back when you have the chance that would be great. Bye."
I immediately called her back only to get her voicemail.
LUNA ALEX
"What?" I said louder than I expected.
"She said that she was your sister." She said making sure she pronounced each word clearly.
I got up from my seat and open my office door and poked my head out so that I could see who Melissa was talking about. It was her. She was the same girl in the pictures on Heather's Facebook page.
She was a tall slim young girl with long brunette hair. She had big brown eyes and thick eyebrows that were similar to mine and Heather's. She also had a mole on the side of her face identical to the one I have. There is no doubt she is my half-sister.
Before she could turn around I quietly shut the door. "Tell her I'm not available." I sat back at my desk.
"Alex, I'm pretty sure she knows you're back here." She responded annoyed.
"I don't care, make her leave. I don't want to see her." I acted as though I was doing something important on my laptop as I waited for her to leave my office.
She sighed. "Fine." She left my office closing the door behind her.
I immediately grabbed my phone off my desk and dialed Heather's number. "Alex?" She answered the phone.
"Why did you send her here?" I accused.
She took a deep breath. "First off my name is Megan, I didn't know if you knew that or not."
"Alex." I introduced myself, even though I knew she knew my name.
"I know, mom talks about you all the time." She gushed.
"Cut the crap, why are you here?" I asked harshly. I didn't want her getting any ideas that we were the happy little family.
She swallowed. "Recently my father was attacked, he....he almost died."
"What does this have to do with me?" I asked coldly.
"Well, our mom-." I cut her off.
"Your mom." I corrected her.
"Our mom." She repeated. "Is really depressed about the situation and about yours and her relationship." She nervously played with her hands, something I noticed her to be doing a lot.
"And?" I waited for her to respond.
"I feel like you guys should sit down and have a talk. She really wants a relationship with you. We all do, including my father. I mean we're a family, we should be together."
