I nodded and preceded to eat. The meal tasted just as amazing as it looked, and when we finished he place our plates in the kitchen and refilled our wine glasses before leading us to the living room. We were sitting on his U-shaped white couch right next to each other, we both had turned our bodies so that we were facing one another.

I was beyond confused by his attitude, he acted as if this was a date. This was a meeting where he was supposed to tell me why he paid off my debt not whatever this was or what he wanted it to be.

"Why did you pay off my debt?" He opened his mouth to respond but I cut him off. "I don't have the money to pay you back, and I'm not selling you my restaurant to you," I added quickly.

"Okay. I actually didn't invite you over for that. I wanted to talk about something else."

"Okay. But-."

"There's something I need to tell you." He cut me off and took the glass from my hand and place it down on the glass table.

"What?"

"Like a Band-Aid." He whispered to himself. He took a deep breath suddenly looking more nervous than before. The change in his behavior frighten me, whatever he had to say I knew couldn't be good. "I'm a werewolf, and you're my mate." He said bluntly.

Once again I wonder, what the hell is a mate? And did he just say he was a werewolf?

I nervously giggled. "I sorry what?"

"I know it's crazy but I'm a werewolf." He said seriously, leaving me to believe that he was someone that need to be monitor closely by doctors.

"Right." I laughed. "And I'm a mermaid."

"I'm serious!" He snapped. I not sure what was going on in his head but I needed to find the closest exit. "I'll show you."

This guy was insane if he thought I would believe that he is a werewolf. They don't even exist, or so I thought. He begins getting undressed. "What are you doing?" I stood and begin backing up towards the door.

What kind of guy lies about being a werewolf and then starts getting undress. A weird guy that it. He was now only in his boxer and I couldn't help but let my eyes drift down to his chest, he was sporting a six pack and had acquired one of the most mesmerizing V's I had ever seen. "Showing you that I was telling the truth."

And at that moment, he shifted into a large black wolf.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" I scream, I turned around and begin to run towards the door, I turned around to see him chasing after me before I could direct my feet to speed up I crashed into a wall.

"Soon perhaps, it could possibly be longer if she was in shock at the time." I nodded. "I gonna have Louis bring over an IV so that she won't be in pain when she wakes up."

Louis was her only son who assisted her sometimes in the pack hospital.

"Is there anything else that needs to be done?"

"I would suggest getting an ice pack or a bag of peas so that some of the swellings goes down faster." I nodded and made my way to the kitchen. Shortly after an ice packet was placed on my mate's head Louis came in with the IV, Alice hooked it up and placed it in Alex's arm. Once all the liquid had drained I took Alex up to my room. I laid her down and placed my comforter over her body.

"Can we at least see her?" My mom asked.

"No," I told her sternly.

Ever since the early hours of this morning my mom had been mind linking me to come over to meet Alex. I had ignored her each time and that is why she and my father decided to make an appearance at my doorstep.
