"It's time."

"You're hired, you start Monday." I stood up and shook my new employee's hand.

"OMG thank you so much." She smiled, "I can't wait to work here."

"We can't wait to have you."

It had been days after we left The Moon Light Pack and things had been going well. Ryan seemed to be in a much better mood, whatever he and Mason talked about improved his attitude significantly. Wanting to give Melissa a break and since I had been spending more time as The Red Café I had hired two more people at Mel's Diner.

Saying goodbye to Tina I sat back at my desk and replied to an email from the city newspaper requesting to do a story on Mel's Diner. Just as I sent the email my office door open and shut close. Looking up I saw Liz with a scold covering her face.

Because I hadn't seen her in a while I greeted her with a warm smile, "Hey Liz, how are you?"

"Don't hey Liz me. I know you've been lying to me."

"Oh, you don't say," I replied in a rather bored tone.

"Yes, I do say. I know you haven't been living at home. You're shacking up."

"I'm also very grown and can do whatever I want."

"Damnit you're right." She sat down after her argument fell to pieces. "But lying to me was wrong."

"True, I guess," I said with a shrug.

"Why didn't you just tell me?"

"I knew this would happen," I told her honestly. There was no way she would understand why I moved into my boyfriend's house despite the short period of time that we've been dating.

"Yeah but I would have rather you be honest than lie to my face. I'm your aunt and family wise I'm all you got and I want to be there for you just the way your dad and you were there for me."

"You're right." I sighed not believing I was about to tell her despite me having yet to tell my mate. "Speaking of telling the truth there is something I have to tell you."

"Let me guess..." She put her finger under her chin, pretending to think. "You're pregnant."
