Fox Shifter novel Chapter 2

Austin stares at us "You know they are extinct right?"

"No you didn't see it, it was huge and not just a regular size fox either," Luke says

He shakes his head amused "Riiiiiight well I don't believe it until I see it. Now out I've got lots to do"

I sigh and walk out.

"Why won't he believe us?" says Luke clearly annoyed

I shrug and walk downstairs heading towards the kitchen. I grab a bowl of parfait and started eating. What? You can't blame me I have a huge appetite you know

Luke walks in, looking at me and raising a brow

"What?"

He chuckles "Haven't you ever heard of not talking with your mouth full before everything in it spill out?"

I give him a glare and went back to my parfait. He smirks shaking his head and walks into the living room.

I hear a scream and immediately runs into the living room to see what happened.

Josh's POV

I cautiously peek around the corner to see Luke sitting on the sofa, his head in his hands.

"What happened?" I ask walking over to him.

"Who.Broke.The.Xbox?"he says slowly his eyes blazing.

"I don't know how am I suppose to know? Cmon you can get another one later,"

"But they ran out! I checked there yesterday!"

I roll my eyes,"Buy one online."

"But that'll take forever for it to arrive,"

"Whatever."

Skyler's POV

I am currently lying on the carpet in front of the TV. Oh my gawd I am so dead

Snow snorted, 'Puh-lease it's normal for foxes and other animals to run around in the woods. They won't expect a thing"

"That's easy for you to say..."

"Hey y'all girl why so depressed?" Richard says walking in.

I went over to him and jump on the sofa and lay on his lap. He starts petting my fur for some reason his hands feel warm no not only his hands but his whole body. I sniffed but can't catch anything

Weird

I ignored it and nose my way into his bowl of fries. Hey don't judge, I love fries I mean who doesn't?

He smacks my nose away,"Hey! It's not healthy ya know you might even get sick."

I snorted,leaned over and grab a mouthful in my mouth.

"No wonder you're getting all big and fluffy.."

I glare and spat my currently chewing fries on his shirt.

"AH Hell Nahh..." he says giving me the look. The look which means he's going to one either throw a bucket full of water all over me or two he's going to spray ketchup all over me.

He got up and walked into the kitchen.

"Uh oh..."

"Now you're gonna ruin my gorgeous fur!!!!!!"

"Hey I'm not the one who started it. He called us fat..."

Hey Luke lets go check it out I said indicating to the smoke

We run towards the direction and stop at the edge of the woods. There a house is burning down and people are running around to put it out.

We should tell Austin

I nod and start sprinting back. That's when I caught the scent again, the scent from the fox.

Luke stops as well and gives me a look. I shrug and run back to the pack house.

At the Pack House

"Austin!" Me and Luke yell barging into the room without knocking. Rude I know

"What's the matter now?" he asks clearly annoyed

"The Hemming's( Skylar's 'family') house was on fire," I told him

"What?! How?"

"We're not sure we were going on a run and we suddenly smell smoke"

Austin sighs and puts his head in his hands. He gestures for us to leave.

Skylar's POV

I stalk towards the rabbit that's munching on some grass. Its ears perked up I stop. Then without warning it sprints away and hides itself in a bush. I growl in frustration. It's been a week since the fire and three days i've eaten.

Crack!

I stiffen and look up. There standing there are the two wolves I saw a few days ago. This time another wolf was with them. It's a brown color with blue eyes filled with wonder.

They slowly walk forward. I growl lowly warning them to stay away

Of course being the dumbasses they are they keep walking forward. I tense ready to attack them if I have to. The light brown wolf tackles me to the ground. I growled and bit into his tail. He whimpered. The other two wolves attacked each holding me down.
