I shook out my wings and without another glance, I took off into the sky with a great flap of my wings. I can hear Scarlet growling in content in my mind. I flew across the treetops, my wings brushing the leaves.
I flapped my wings faster as I flew higher into the sky. I leveled out until I'm flying in the clouds. The orange glow of the sun can be seen as it sets behind the mountain in the distance.
Everything was silent, not the peaceful kind of silence. I looked up to see a flock of birds flying towards me. I dove down towards the treetops.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge spear came out of nowhere and lodged itself into my side. I roared in pain and crashed into the trees. A burning sensation coursed through me as I struggled to stand bak up. I groaned and looked around. My eyes stopped on a hooded figure standing a few feet away.
Without a word, the person raised his or her hands and a huge metal net was thrown over me. With a flick of his or her fingers, electricity ran through the net, shocking me.
I growled and roared in pain. Who the hell is this lunatic?
Austin! Hel-
I got cut off when the hooded figure jabbed a syringe into my neck. I growled and lunged forward. The person stepped back and spoke in some weird language. More hooded figures stepped out of the trees, holding a metal thing.
I glared at them and shot a fireball at them. They dodged it and came forward. Another group threw ropes around my neck and tugged on either side so I can't move my neck. The first group roughly fitted the metal thing around my mouth. Oh, so it's a muzzle. How the fuck did they even manage to make that?
I can't even open my mouth with that muzzle on me. Black dots swam in my vision. I tried moving my tail and feet but they were also tied down.
Austin, help!
And with that I collapsed onto the ground with a thump and I faded into darkness.
Austin's POV
I paced back and forth in the living room. Where could she have gone? She says she went out for a run but it's already 5 pm and she still hasn't returned yet.
"Maybe she's lost somewhere..." Liam suggested.
I frowned and continue pacing.
"You're not helping, idiot," Chloe said.
"I can't contact her through the pack or mate bond."
"You don't think she got kidnapped do you?" asked Josh.
"No no it can't be," I said, sinking down onto the couch.
"Hm, Josh may be onto something here. Remember the first few weeks she came here? We went to the mall and she came out of the restroom looking like she's seen a ghost. There's another time when she first shifted into her dragon and a dart came out of no where, attached with a piece of paper."
I pulled at my hair. No, this can't be possible.
She paused, "Alice."
"I'm Skylar but call me Sky."
"Do you know why we're here?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "I was taken from my parents when I was very little. I don't remember much about them. I don't know why we're here. I've been here for 8 fucking years."
" What did they do to you?" I asked when I took a closer look at her.
I noticed there are bruises and scratches across her hands and face.
"They performed some weird tests but I don't know what because when I wake up I never knew what happened."
"Don't worry, I'll get us both out of here somehow."
With that, the conversion ended.
It was later on in the day or night the hidden stone door at the right corner opened. Well, I guess it won't be that secret anymore. The figure in the cloak walked in. It glanced at me and walked over to Alice's cell instead. It opened the door and pulled her out.
