I let go of Austin, and he got up, eyes blazing.
He leaned in, "I'll have to do something about that little show you just made in front of the pack tonight, little mate."
I winked at him, that just made his eyes go darker.
A few hours later, everyone came into the pack house sweating like they had just ran a marathon. Well, we technically did. :/
Everyone crowded at the back yard. Since we haven't had lunch, Austin decided to have a barbecue. Everyone chatted animately amongst each other. Little kids ran around their mothers.
A guy with black hair and sea green eyes came up to me.
"Hello Luna! That was fun! Can we do it again someday?"
I blinked at him, wondering what he was talking about before I registered that he was the wolf I carried.
I grinned and high fived him, "You betcha, kid!"
We talked for a while before Austin called everyone over to tell them that the food is ready. Everyone grabbed what they wanted from the table. I waited until everyone was done and grabbed my own plate. As I sat down on the lawn, peacefully eating my food, a hand came out of no where and grabbed my hot dog.
I grabbed the hand and twisted it until that person dropped my hot dog...on the ground.
I growled and Austin held up his hands. I glanced at the hot dog on the ground and pouted.
"You dropped my hot dog!" I said, smacking his forehead.
"Ow! Geez it's just a hot dog," said Austin, rubbing his head.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "It's not just a hot dog! It's food! It's the best thing in the entire universe! It's a girl's best friend! How could you-"
"Okay okay, I'll go get you another one."
I smirked at his retreating back. I went back to the 5 pieces of brownies on my plate.
Suddenly, a scent from the forest drifted towards me. I stiffened. A scream sounded from the other side of the clearing. I bolted towards the sound and saw one of those creatures plunging its hand into a little girl's chest, pulling out her heart.
"Return the girl or it's war," it said.
Austin growled and rammed into it. They tumbled, claws trying to tear each other apart.
Red consumed my vision and I shifted into my dragon. I roared and leapt towards the creature just as it slashed Austin's arm. Blood poured out from his wound. I pinned it down on the ground, and crushed its head with my claws.
"Goodnight Austin."
He kissed my cheeks, "Goodnight little mate."
He closed his eyes and a few seconds later his breathing evened out.
I sighed and changed into my pajamas.
Those little shits have a whole lot coming for them Scarlet growled menacingly
Snow nods her head, agreeing. We will tear them apart, piece by piece
Oh I'm planning on it...
The next morning the whole pack gathered for the little girl's funeral. Everyone was chatting quietly and the little girl's family was standing near her coffin.
I walked towards Chloe, Josh, Luke, and Liam who were standing off to the side. Chloe's arms wrapped around me when I came up to them. I hugged her back tightly.
"Hey you okay?" Josh asked coming up and wrapped his arms around me.
