"I guess so," I whispered.
As the funeral started, I walked up to Austin who was standing next to the Stevens. (the little girl's family) He gave me a quick kiss on the cheeks as everyone gathered before him.
When the funeral was over and everyone paid their respects to Cassy(the little girl) and her family, we all shifted. We gathered around the coffin, and howled, wishing Cassy farewell and her spirit to reach the moon goddess.
We all shifted back, put on some clothing, and watched as some pack members carefully lowered the coffin into the ground.
Cody, Cassy's bother, hugged his mother as she wept. Mr. Stevens embracing them both.
Everyone started to go pack to their houses to get ready for training in the afternoon.
"Pair up! We'll be fighting in wolf and human form today!" Vincent yelled.
I paired up with Josh. Chloe grabbed her brother before he can walk over.
Austin narrowed his eyes as he sees Josh.
"Begin!"
Josh and I started circling around each other, trying to find each other's weaknesses. I narrowed my eyes at him as he lunged at me from the side. I side stepped him and jumped onto his back.
He growled and grabbed one of my legs, slamming me into the ground. I winced and hopped up, my eyes flashing blue. We circled each other again. I lunged at him this time and swiped my legs out, tripping him.
He stumbled, before he can reagin his footing I tackled him to the ground. I growled as he grabbed my right hand and twisted it so it's behind my back. I flipped us over to release his hold on my hand.
We broke apart, both panting, while staring each other down. Before he can look down, I saw his eyes flash crimson red.
What the hell?
Did you see that? I asked Snow.
We are the same person of course I saw it you dumbo.
I rolled my eyes at her, and was tackled onto the ground by Josh's dark brown wolf. He growled.
Snow took that as a challenge and demanded that I shift. We stood nose to nose, growling. He lunged for me and I ducked underneath him. When he landed on the ground, I jumped on him from behind and shoved him down to the ground. He tried shaking me off, but I dug my claws into his side.
I nipped his ear and growled. I waited for a few minutes until he lowered his head in defeat. I got off of him and nudged him. He got up and shook out his fur, his green eyes shining.
That was epic! He mind linked me.
I barked out a laugh and turned around to see Austin and Vincent standing there. A few pack members in wolf form also looking.
Seriously what is their problem? Every time I train, they always end up staring.
"This looks similar to the creature," I said.
"But demons don't have scales or tails," Liam said thoughtfully.
"Could they be hybrids?" Luke asked.
"They could be, but there's an important question," Chloe said. "Why would they want Sky?"
We sat down at the table thoughtfully.
"Okay, suppose that thing is a half demon, how will we know for sure?" Josh asked.
I sighed, "I don't know."
"They are half demons," Vincent spoke up.
"How do you know?" Austin asked.
"I've killed one of them before. I took some of it's blood to investigate. It shows they're half demon, but the other half is unknown, but looking at the blood, it seems to be centuries old."
"So the other half is probably extinct or it's a species we don't know about since the other half is probably in the ancient times," Austin said.
