One bit my shoulder and the others raked their claws across my stomach. I tried throwing them off but I was losing too much blood. My vision started to blur as I collapsed onto the ground and eventually faded away into darkness.
Sky's POV
There were too many of them. More flooded into the clearing from the forest. I noticed Luke dragging a limp body towards me. Panic overcame me and I ran over. I froze as I realized it was Liam. Oh my god.
Please don't tell me he's...
Luke shook his head, he's alive, but there's a lot of injuries on him and he's lost a lot of blood.
I sighed in relieve and told Luke to bring him to the pack doctor. I hauled Liam over Luke, and he ran towards the pack house.
Some bodies of our warriors laid on the ground but most are the demons.
There's too many of them! Chloe yelled through the mind link.
I looked towards Josh, who nodded. He crouched down, as his skin started to ripple. His fur receded back into his skin, and scales took their place. Wings sprouted from his back and he landed on all fours.
I closed my eyes, feeling Scarlet rumble in me.
Ready? I asked.
Bring it. I was born ready, She replied.
I closed my eyes as I feel my blue scales take my fur's place. My claws grew longer while my tail grew out. My wings came out as my neck grew longer. I could feel my horns grow on the top of my head. After I shifted, I took towards the sky where Josh was already waiting.
We can't just breathe fire on them. Their scales are fireproof.
I nodded and replied, we can grab the basins of salt and pour it down on them. That should burn their scales off, then we can torch them.
Damn is my sister a genius or what?
I snorted at him and flew over to the pack house. I lowered myself and grabbed the handles. With a thrust of my wings, I propelled myself into the sky. Josh and I flew over the battle, circling over them.
