I landed onto the ground and stalked towards him. Eyeing him, as he stood up. He laughed.
"I struck a nerve haven't I?"
I roared and lunged at him. He smiled and dodged, raking his claws across my left wing. I screeched in pain.
This bitch! He ruined our wing! I lunged towards him again, and grabbed him by the foot. I lifted him up and shook my head, tearing at his foot. He hissed and swiped at my jaw, his claw nicked the skin.
I threw him into another tree across the clearing. The impact of the crash, caused the tree to shake. I prowled towards him again and grabbed him with my claws. With my right hand holding him, I used my right claws to slowly rake them down his body. He screeched and swiped at my arm, making me let go of him.
He sprinted into the forest. I growled and went after him. He will not get away with this. He was just up ahead. I took a big leap and crashed into him. we tumbled into the clearing where the other wolves were finishing off the remaining demons. I heard Austin's growl.
We broke away but Austin lunged at him from behind. I walked around them, assessing the outcome. The Demon kicked Austin off of him by scratching his belly. Austin already had a lot of wounds which were bleeding heavily from the other demons. I roared at him for hurting our mate.
He turned towards me with a sickening smile. "Maybe I'll take your mate with me too. He's a strong one."
I growled and leapt towards him, pinning him down. I opened my mouth, showing him my full set of sharp teeth, and roared right in front of his face.
You will never win, I growled at him.
He cackled and was about to say something before I took his head in my mouth and released my fire on him. I felt him scream and wriggle underneath me, but I staked him with a claw. He finally stopped moving, and I released him and turned towards my mate.
Austin was watching with a look of pride on his face. I walked towards him and rubbed my head against his.
Sky?
Scarlet I corrected him.
He chuckled, can I have Sky back?
I felt myself have control back as Scarlet receded back into my mind. Austin walked behind a tree, a moment later he walked out with a pair of shorts on and holding out some clothing for me. I took them from him and went behind a tree to shift back.
I stood up and quickly dressed myself, cringing as the fabric came into contact with my wounds. I walked out and was immediately engulfed into a hug. I sighed and closed my eyes, loving the way the sparks went down my body.
Austin pulled away. "Come on, lets go get you checked up."
I nodded at him and realized that we were the only ones in the clearing.
"Where are the warriors?"
He smiled, "I told them to go back and get checked up."
I smiled and nodded. I looked at the clearing and finally at the body that laid burnt a few yards away.
I looked back at Austin to see him already staring at me. He leaned down and planted a soft kiss on my lips. I laughed and pulled away. "Let's go get checked up."
He growled and smirked, "Just you wait little mate, I'll have you to myself soon."
I rolled my eyes at him and tugged him towards the pack house.
It was finally over.
5 years later
"AMELIA EVELYN SUMMERS! GIVE ME BACK MY SHIRT!" Austin yelled playfully while running after our three-year-old daughter.
She giggled and screamed as Austin picked her up from behind and hoisted her on his shoulders. I laughed as a trail of drool ran down Amelia's chin and onto Austin's hair. Then she proceeded to lean down and take a mouthful of his hair. Amelia has Austin's black hair and my brown eyes. Her chubby cheeks lifted as she laughed at her father.
"Mommy are you done yet? I want to go play with Ammy and Daddy too," my four-year-old son complains.
I smiled at him and finished putting on his jacket. He leaped off the chair and bounded towards Amelia and Austin.
"Oh no, you got me!" Austin yells as he collapsed onto the grass. Amelia and Carter laughed as they climbed onto Austin's back.
"I hate to ruin your fun but guess who's here?!" A voice shouted.
Carter looked over and gave Liam a horrified look. "It's a potato! Run Amelia!" He grabbed Amelia's hand and ran towards the backyard.
Liam gasped and held his hand to his heart. "I am hurt! Surely I don't look like a potato." I set of hands wrapped around his waist from behind.
"Of course you don't, babe," Eli said, kissing Liam on the cheek.
