The studio was silent, offering no answers.

A crushing loneliness descended, making it hard to breathe.

After such a chaotic day, exhaustion took over and I drifted off.

The sun set, darkness fell.

After some time, a harsh light suddenly glowed.

I struggled to open my eyes and saw Ethan at the computer, his brow furrowed, face dark.

What was he reading?

Remembering the words about Gabriel I'd written before sleeping, my heart clenched. I jumped up and grabbed the mouse: "Stop reading!"

Ethan looked up, eyes burning with anger: "You love him that much? Even with me, you have to record every detail about him?"

He no longer pretended Gabriel didn't exist, and I didn't know how to respond.

I realized belatedly that I couldn't even speak Gabriel's name anymore.

I lowered my gaze, avoiding his sharp eyes, staying silent.

Suddenly Ethan gripped my chin, forcing me to look at him, his voice ice-cold.

"Think honestly, Autumn - what more could I do for you? I overlooked your running away. When you didn't like Morgan, I cut ties with her immediately. What haven't I given you?"

His questions fell like boulders on my heart, the pressure mountainous.

I swallowed the bitterness in my throat: "You're good to me, but what you give isn't what I want."

Ethan's expression changed instantly as he laughed coldly: "Then what do you want? Gabriel? Or to keep memorializing him with this dead thing?!"

Despite my resistance, he held me tight, making me watch as he deleted the entire novel!

In that moment, everything went black - my last comfort and connection suddenly severed.

Finding strength from somewhere, I shoved Ethan away, frantically trying to recover the content.
