As breakfast continues, the conversation lightens, and we start to talk about other things. The initial shock of the news begins to wear off, and I feel more at ease and able to get on with it- one small step at a time. 

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel early, climb into our cars and head back to our home town. 

I can’t wait to be back in my own comfy bed again! Just me and Alex against the world!
