Chapter 44 

Lottie’s POV 

“That was f**king… awesome!” I shout, as the rest laugh hysterically. 

“She swears like a sailor when she’s drunk apparently!” Anna cackles out, as I bob up and down on Alex‘ back. 

I could barely see never mind walk on my own so I was thankful to be carried. 

“Erik you are welcome to stay at my place!” Anna offers him, as he skips and laughs in a drunken daze. 

“I think I have somewhere else to stay if you know what I’m saying…” He winks at us, as we giggle and nod eagerly. 

A really hot guy had approached him in the festival before they started making out and things got heated fast! The dudes friends dragged him off but before he left they exchanged numbers! 

“I’m meeting him up here at the road sign!” Erik informs us, as we walk through the carpark. 

“We will wait with you until he comes!” Anna states firmly, as I flop my head onto Alex‘ shoulder. 

I could fall asleep on him… his body is so big it’s like a huge mattress…although a hard one at that!

We seem to halt for five minutes, as I close my eyes and take the opportunity to rest, before I hear some goodbyes being exchanged. 

“Del is driving… he didn’t even drink much.” I hear Jace argue with Anna, as I smile slightly at their family bond. 

chang…… 

“Ok doll time to get down…” Alex taps my leg before lowering me, as I groan and place my feet on the concrete – instantly losing balance. 

“Alex!” I groan, as though it were his fault, as he chuckles at me and opens the car door – gesturing for me to climb in. 

– 

I do as instructed, plopping onto the middle seat between him and Anna, as I watch Del start up the car driving us off out of the car park. 

Probably not the smartest of ideas when we have all been drinking… but It was way too late to protest now! 

My eyes fall heavy, as Anna lays her head on my shoulder too, but thankfully Del seems to get us back to Anna’s way quicker than the taxi had done earlier. 

“Right let’s get you two in!” Del laughs as we both grumble loudly, before being guided out of the car and up the path towards the front door. 

Anna fumbles with her bag, dropping almost all of the contents, in an attempt to find her keys which only causes us both to giggle. 

“Got ya!” She finally holds them up in achievement, as I clap at her victory – before the boys gather up the things from the floor for us. 

They wait for us to get the door open, before they help us upstairs to our rooms… total gentleman’s this lot! 

Alex comes down the hall with me, as I almost face plant into my bedroom carpet on entry… as he thankfully catches me with ease and steadies me back on my feet. 

“Did you have fun doll?” He questions, as I fumble with the button of my leather chaps wanting to rid myself from the material. 

“I HAD THE MOST FUN EVER! CAN WE GO BACK NEXT WEEKEND?” yell out, throwing my hands up, as Alex hushes me with a laugh. 

“Not next weekend doll… but we will go back to a festival again yeah!” Alex states, as I nod and grin at the response. 

I f**king love festivals! I’ve never had so much fun before – this could seriously go down as the best day of my life! 

Are you… staying over?” I mumble, eventually unhooking my pant button before sliding them down my legs as Alex watches me. 

“I can’t.” He practically chokes out, as I eye him oddly. 

“Why?” I push on, before pulling at the zip of my short shorts. 

It’s not like he hasn’t stayed over before… and we weren’t even a couple then… I think, as I continue to fight against my shorts… 

With that he decides to turn around to face the wall, as I laugh drunkenly at the action… he’s so cute! 

“I can’t stay because I’m drunk and don’t trust myself to sleep beside you tonight.” He concludes, as I shimmy out of my shorts before tugging at my top. 

I groan loudly, unable to get the thing off, before I stumble towards him and pull at his shoulder for him to turn back… 

“What are you doing Lottie?” He throws his head back and groans, as I shuffle from foot to foot before him. 

“I just need you to help me get my shirt off! I can’t get it!” I complain, before turning to show him the zip at the back. 

He stills for a few moments, as I look over my shoulder awaiting his help… 

Seconds pass, before I finally feel his warm hands on my back – pulling the zip down slowly.

“Thanks!” I comment, sliding out of the top – leaving myself in a bra and thong set. 

I heard him move, causing me to turn back only to find him staring at the wall again… 

I shrug, before moving to my chest of drawers – pulling out a blue pyjama shorts set. I tug on the clothes, feeling comfy and relieved to be out of my festival outfit. 

“I’m dressed!” I announce proudly, as Alex turns back to me and nods once in approval. 

“Get into bed then doll, I’ll come and see you in the morning ok?” He states, moving to the bed to pull back my duvet as a sign for me to climb in. 

I do as I’m told, happy to feel the softness of the sheets as I snuggle under. 

Alex leans down and kisses my lips, before he stares at me longingly for a few more seconds… 

“Night doll!” He states, as I smile. 

“Night Alex!” I reply, before he fishes into his pocket and reveals my phone – placing it on the side table of the bed. 

“Nearly forgot I had it!” He states, before he moves towards the door and turns out my light. 

I sigh happily, having felt amazing after todays experience. I then grow curious, seeing my phone laying there, as I reach over to pick it up from its spot on the table. 

I hear the front door downstairs close, before it is locked, followed by Dels car starting up outside – signalling that the boys had now left. 

I swipe open my phone, clicking onto my new app to check my notifications. 

I had forty–two follow requests, and twenty new likes on my picture. With that, I click onto my picture again, admiring how happy and free I look in them. 

I never thought I would be that girl… the normal happy one with friends and a relationship… it was magical! 

I then click to my feed, seeing Erik’s post pop up first as I grin at how incredible he was. I comment ‘HOT‘ under his picture, before scrolling to find Anna’s to comment ‘So gorgeous!!‘ under hers.

I then notice that I have a couple of message notifications which I click on to the first being Anna tagging me on her story. 

I then notice another column, one marked ‘requests‘ as I click it seeing had one notification there too… 

The user had no profile picture and was named “T_55. 

I click on the chat, and almost lose consciousness at the creepy message which read- 

“Found you princess.” 

My breathing/becomes irregular as I gasp loudly at the message. 

No no no no no no… 

My eyes read it over and over again! 

I panic instantly, feeling my body sober itself up – if at all possible from the fear I was experiencing. I waste no time before clicking on to my phone contacts… 

I freeze for what feels like hours, before yelling out for Anna who doesn’t respond – probably already asleep – before I call Alex who eventually picks up… 

“Alex! Please come back! They’ve found me!” I sob down the line, my mind going blank and 

“Please!” Is all I say next, as I suck in air – feeling the desperate need to fill my lungs…
