Marilyn
She could see that Calvin was annoyed and getting more so, with her line of questioning his very intent where the boys were concerned. “How did you get my client’s address?” Liam asked, “We’ve not even given that your lawyer at this point.”
She watched Calvin frown, and his lawyer put a hand on him. “It’s on her driver’s license,” Wil stated.
“And just how did he get a copy of her driver’s license?” Liam pushed once more. “Because I had her home address left off that restraining order on purpose, so he wouldn’t know where she lived, due to her not being a resident of Texas. Her home state is many states away, so there was no need to. The judge agreed.” Liam
stated now.
“So neither of you should know that information,” Marilyn muttered. “Maybe it’s time to move once more,” she voiced out loud “and I think Liam, he got it by using that technology company to get it, used one or more of his programmers to hack the DMV and get my details. I’ll never be safe from him.” She added a heavy sigh at
the end of her words.
“Probably Marilyn, that was also my theory.” Liam nodded.
“Don’t do that,” Calvin stated, looking right at her. “Do not up and disappear from me again, please.” He implored hér. “I admit it. I looked in to you, and found out where not only you live, but where the boys went to school as well,” Calvin sighed now. “You’ve been missing for eight years. I feel terrible about all that has transpired between us… I didn’t do this with the intent of harassing you. I wasn’t going to come near you until the restraining order was dismissed.”
“Right!” she muttered, not even she believed that.
“The boys‘ school. I just wanted to try and show them I’m not a terrible person. Try to find a way for them to see me in a better light. Connect my name to something other than yourself and what happened in Texas. That was my only intent,” Calvin told her.
“I don’t believe you,” she shrugged, because she didn’t, not really in my eyes. “How can I believe anything you say? After all you did to me. Now, even months later you have broken the contract as well, your word is no good as far as I’m concerned.” She told him truthfully.
She watched him sigh, he couldn’t win this no matter what he said, because he was the one to break the law at every opportunity he had. He would have even known what he was doing was breaking the law and breaching their contract. Yet he just blipped over it thinking he could do as he pleased because he was a billionaire. Thought he’d get his own way.
“Don’t move, don’t uproot the boys‘ lives, or your own for that matter,” Calvin told her. “I am willing to admit this is all my fault, all you know of me is what you saw.” He nodded. “But that’s not really who I am.”
“It’s all my
children know as well,” she added.
“Our children,” he corrected her, “I want to be a part of your and their lives.”
“I don’t think you’re fit to be a father.” Marilyn shrugged, knowing no one would like to hear those very words, certainly not a man like him. She was trying to push that button now. His own lawyer was keeping him in

check. Every time Wil touched him, Calvin snapped his mouth shut.
He was now just sitting staring at her, didn’t seem to know what to say, so she pushed harder. “I have loved and cared for them all their lives, never once have they been traumatised by me, or had to fear that they would become orphans. Then you show up and within just one day of my being in Texas, that is what you did
to them.”
“It wasn’t my intent.” He murmured now.
“Did you know I had children when you attacked me, that first time? I know you did the second time, she stated, and she saw what looked like guilt cross his face, but he didn’t say anything. Her eyes moved to Wil, seeing as Calvin didn’t want to answer it himself. “Did he? If you want any semblance of trust to happen in this room, you’ll answer me, and honestly.” She stated flatly.
She watched as Calvin ran a hand through his hair as Wil answered the question. “Yes, I told him you weren’t Marrin, were an author and a mother of two children.”
“So, even with that knowledge,” She turned her eyes right on Calvin. “You thought it was okay to do what you did?” she asked him directly.
“Oh, that’s good to know. So it was okay in your eyes to harm me because the children weren’t there…” she shook her head, “I can see you really loved your wife, and were glad to see her after eight years of her being missing. Something you keep reminding me about.
“You didn’t even think about how your actions might affect my life, my family. No, only your own selfish wants and needs mattered to you. Just like now and your spying on me in my own home, that was also for your own wants and needs only, not mine, not the children.”
“Why not. If you were me, you would do it without hesitation. Actually, if you were me, you’d be in jail by now.” she shot right back. “I have done everything to show you I’m compassionate, dropped all the charges at your request, and only asked one thing of you. I have even complied with your lawyer even after I returned home. “Even considered not reinstating that restraining order against you, so you could eventually meet the boys, but I don’t see you can be trusted, not even around Callum and Vincent.” She stated their names, and then turned and opened her handbag, pulled out a photo of them and slid it across the table.
She addressed “Even now, with all this that you’ve done. I brought the photo of them for Wil at his request from our last meeting. To prove my word is actually good. I was, up until now and all you’ve done, Ca‘ him informally, “willing to try and work this out, because yes, I read everything that your lawyer gave me, and though I do not remember being your wife, I do understand that I was for a time.
work
“So, yes, I was willing to work with Wil on this and sort something out, I..” she sighed and looked down at the table, took a moment for herself before looking right at him. “I even told the boys who you were, în preparation for them meeting you, But… you still stalked me, and showed me you don’t care about anyone’s feelings bar your own.
