Chapter 203

It was spacious in the limousine. Caleb wore a suit, and he was kneeling in front of Willow. After a brief moment, he said gently, “Be my wife. I’ll look after you and your babies. I’ll work hard so you won’t have to worry about money.”

Willow didn’t accept his proposal. Rubbing his head fondly, she said, “Caleb, there is a scar on my heart. People like me can never bring happiness to anyone, and I want you to be happy. To me, you are…”

“I’m not a young, naive man anymore!” Caleb shouted in a gruff voice. He grabbed her hand and made her fondle his bulging abs. Then, he wanted to guide it downward.

However, Willow shook his hand away before she rubbed his head in silence again. He became anxious and said, “I turned into him for your sake, but you still don’t love me. Tell me what I did wrong, and I’ll change again. Alright?”

She shook her head in response. Looking at the man who was fiercely loyal to her, she said gently, “Caleb, you’re you. You’re not somebody else.

“Compared to your love, your service is more important to me. I need you to protect Insight. Also, I want to see you grow into the man I know you can be.”

Deep down, Caleb was actually a masochist. He derived gratification from what she said, even if he put on a sulky expression.

“And you’ll have my service. I will do everything I can to make your gallery go listed. If I’m not sure about something, I will ask you or Jeffrey.

“However, I have to be the first man in your mind if you ever want to find a husband for yourself. Jeffrey has a wife. So, he is out of the picture. You cannot consider him anymore.”

Willow was both exasperated and amused. What was Caleb talking about?

With that said, she couldn’t help but giggle.

Caleb said, “That’s more like it. You look marvelous when you smile. You shouldn’t wallow in dejection. It gives the impression that you can’t move on from him, and that’s infuriating to see.”

Willow felt a surge of warmth in her heart. She rubbed his head and said, “Gotcha.”

A week later, Insight went listed. Willow was six months along. Her belly would’ve been bulging out if she hadn’t been hurt that badly. Now, it was barely showing. Once she put on a loose dress, it would be practically unnoticeable.

She would ring the bell in public today, but this would be the last time she showed herself in the open. She would take a flight to Yarrowmere in the afternoon and stay there for good.

Annie opened the door to the lounge. She stared for a long time before she spoke up softly, “Ms. Harper, it’s time.”

Willow checked her appearance for the last time before she followed Annie out of the lounge.

The venue was bustling with people. People of high society in the industry got here to show their support, even some of the avid and capable collectors showed up to greet her. Insight was bathed in an incandescent glory.

Later, Willow got up on the stage. Jeffrey and Caleb stood by her side. Annie was there too. She had a glass of champagne in her hands, even though she didn’t drink it.

One by one, she introduced the people standing with her to the public, announcing the shares they owned in Insight on the day her gallery went listed..

Rosabelle applauded for Jeffrey from the audience. Braxton wore a relieved expression as he looked at Caleb, who had secured

massive success.

However, warm tears welled up in Annie’s eyes. She knew that Willow would leave after this.

Willow only gave herself 30% of Insight’s share, and she relinquished the authority to run the gallery to Annie and Caleb. As she stood on the stage, she asked everyone to look out for both of them, saying that she considered the duo to be her family.

Her eyes were brimming with fondness as she bowed slightly. Perhaps she had hung on for this long because she wanted to give her friends some closure.
