"Told me what?" This time I turned to face Noah with my arms crossed.

"Haven't exactly had the time," he gestured around the room with a shrug. I knew he meant the hospital and the events that lead us all to this exact moment.

For a moment I forgot that we were not the only 3 people in the room. Alan, Kelly's father spoke up, "Son, keeping secrets is what got us into this mess."

"Yes Dad I know," the irritation was clear through Noah's words. Mr McKenzie, his wife, Jackson and Mason all excused themselves from the room and said that they were going to grab some food. Before leaving Mason gave Kelly a gentle kiss, it's nice to see that those two are still together.

"We should get going," he turned to me, passing me my coat. The bag I had thrown random items of clothing in back at the apartment was in Noah's right hand. I reached for it but he shook his head. Oh, now he chooses as the time to be gentlemanly but still won't tell me the truth about anything?

I didn't feel like arguing with him at this precise moment in time, as much as I wanted to know the truth about why Kelly was shot 'for me' I just don't have the energy. A long soak in the bathtub and sleep in a comfy bed is what I need right now.

It was only a brief visit with Kelly but I needed to visually see for myself that she was okay. I padded over to her and wrapped my arms around her giving her a sideward hug making sure to be careful of her wound. I could tell that she was tired as her breathing was slow and her eyes were barely open.

"Make sure he tells you everything..." Kelly managed to whisper before her arms fell to her sides and she began to snore.

I gave her a kiss on the top of her head and watched her sleep peacefully for a couple of seconds before we headed out of the room closing the door quietly behind us.

We said our goodbyes to the others and left. Walking past the main reception desk was a treat, the woman who previously refused me entry had a look of horror spread across her face as I walked past, my arm linked into Noah's. I gave her a small smile and she appeared to be mouthing something along the lines of 'I'm so sorry' over and over.

Noah's car was parked outside, his driver was sitting in the front asleep. Noah tapped gently on the window.

The driver ran around the car and stood in front of Noah as if ready to beg for his job. "Mr McKenzie sir, I apologise for my lack of professionalism-"

Noah cut him off, "nonsense, you have been here all night. Miss Jenkins is going to a hotel and I home, after that you may have the rest of the day off."

"Of course Sir, thank you." He opened the car door for us and we slipped into the backseat. I watched as he ran back around the car to the driver's seat and started the car.

"Any hotel in particular Sir?"

"Yes, the one Miss Jenkins was staying at before please Roger."

There were a couple moments of silence and I knew if I was to talk I would have Noah's full attention and even Roger's. "Roger,"

"Miss Jenkins?" He replied. Good, he can hear me.

"Mmm-hmm?"

"Are we ever going to talk about what happened between us?" This definitely got his attention as locked his phone and looked up at me.

"I owe you an explanation."

"Yeah, no kidding."

"It's a hell of a long story Sophia. We both need some sleep. We can talk about this later, okay? I could tell he was holding back a yawn clearly exhausted from today just as I am.

"Promise?" I asked.

"Cross my heart."

I was about to walk away but my feet wouldn't move. I've had to walk away from this man and his family once and now that I have been bought back to New York by what I'd like to believe was fate, I don't want to leave again. I deserve to know the whole truth about what happened to Kelly and how my life has become what it is today but most of all I deserve to know what we could've been.

I deserve to know how amazing mine and Noah's relationship could've been if we hadn't have been forced apart by what I can only presume is money and the fact that Brad was going to kidnap me. Brooke and Brad had a plan which I know Noah was forced to be a part of and I can't hold that against him, he was protecting his family and, well he was protecting me.
