Kamryn was sleepy but forced herself to wait for him. 

When Charlie returned after the shower, she had fallen asleep and was breathing evenly, lying on her side with her arm under 

her head. 

She had long felt tired but kept waking up before he had returned home. After he had come back, she had stopped being 

anxious. 

She had felt worried because she had heard Sterling liked playing dirty tricks. After all, Vanity Fair was full of dirty things. 

Charlie was fighting against the Brown Group for her, which caused them to suffer a significant loss overnight. So, she had been afraid Sterling would not let him go and could not sleep soundly until his return. 

When Charlie tucked her in, he subconsciously looked at her belly. Maybe it was a psychological suggestion or something. He somehow felt there were some changes in her lower abdomen. It seemed to have bulged a little. However, her waist was still thin but not as soft as before. 

Was it because the baby was growing? 

Maybe he was overthinking. She had been pregnant briefly, so her belly shouldn’t have changed so early. He stopped thinking about it, hugged her, and soon fell asleep. 

It was noon when Kamryn woke up. Charlie had quietly gone to the company early in the morning without waking her. The nanny played games with Eugene in his room, and they did not disturb her. After all, Charlie had told Eugene his mommy was tired and needed more rest because of the baby in her belly. 

Although Kamryn had slept until noon, she still felt tired. She had become lethargic since getting pregnant. 

Michelle had said she should sleep whenever she wanted to. But she should not force herself if she didn’t want to sleep. She should also eat if she had a good appetite. But when she had no desire, she did not need to eat. In short, she could do whatever she wanted because a good mood was the most important. If she rested well and kept energetic, the baby would grow better in her belly. Moreover, she must eat well. Her priority now was to take care of herself and maintain a good mood. 

So, she went back to bed and began to watch TV after grabbing something to eat. When the afternoon sunlight came in through the window, she comfortably narrowed her eyes and fell asleep again in a daze. 

After a while, the ringing of the doorbell woke her up. When she opened her eyes, she found it was dark outside. She yawned and lazily got up. After she walked to the door and looked through the peephole, she saw a woman out. The woman carried a bag and looked ill at ease. 

When Kamryn opened the door in confusion, Florence hesitated whether to ring the doorbell again. Her heart skipped a beat before she raised her head. But when she saw Kamryn, her expression became gloomy. 

Kamryn was pretty and had a good temperament. Despite her simple pajamas, she looked unworldly. 

Florence quietly stood at the door. After recovering from the shock, she carefully asked, “Is this Mr. Franco’s house?” 

“Yes” 

Kamryn was surprised to hear her mention Charlie. Charlie barely socialized with his colleagues. He didn’t have any close friends in the company. Everyone there was in awe of him. After all, he was the president. 

But even his friends had never visited him without telling him in advance. 

So, Kamryn felt weird when a stranger suddenly came and asked whether this was Mr. Franco’s house. She asked, “Are you here to meet him?” 

Florence awkwardly smiled, “No. You are his wife, right?” 

“Yes” 

When Kamryn naturally admitted it, Florence felt more disappointed. She had not heard it wrong last night. He was indeed married.

But why was he hiding his marriage from the public? It was a significant matter. Why did not the media report on it? 

Since he was married, for whom had he bought the diamond ring? He had said it was for a marriage proposal. But why did he call the woman his wife before the proposal? 

Florence looked at Kamryn’s hands. Seeing no rings on her fingers, she felt suspicious. 

Maybe the ring was not for his wife! Charlie might have a secret mistress! After all, it was unsurprising for a man like Charlie to have more than one woman. 

Florence immediately handed the bag to Kamryn and smiled, ‘Mr. Franco and I drank too much last night. He feared I would catch a cold, so he lent me his jacket.”

Kamryn’s expression instantly became gloomy. She took the bag over and took out the suit jacket.. 

Florence hurriedly added, “Tve washed it. Don’t worry. It has no smell of alcohol!” 

Kamryn frowned 

It was indeed Charlie’s jacket. But why had it been in the strange woman’s hands? Hadn’t he left it in the car and asked the driver to throw it away because of the smell of alcohol? How had the woman gotten it? 

Kamryn calmly said. “No wonder he came home in only a shirt yesterday. When I asked him about it, he said he had thrown it away because it was dirty.” 

“He said he had thrown it away?”
