Nicole’s hold provocations were enough to make any woman lose it. 

She thought Kamiryn would also be one of them.

Nicole thought she had gotten to her, causing her composure to crack. So she continued to rub salt in the wound, thinking she had the upper hand. “Why did you even try in the first place? It was clear that you couldn’t stay with Charlie for a long time, yet you stubbornly wanted to marry him. Did you really think that getting married would secure you a happily ever after? Hehe! What a laugh!” 

Kamryn, however, remained unmoved on her words. 

She kept her icy demeanor all the way, but Nicole totally overlooked her indifference and continued, “And what happened in the end? Charlie would kick you to the curb. And I’ll proudly be Mrs. Franco. Hehe!” 

Kamryn questioned her, “Mrs. Franco?” 

Nicole replied snugly. “Mm–hmm? What’s the problem? Marrying Charlie means officially becoming Mrs. Franco, right? I am way more qualified than you, I come from a good background with a wealthy family. Between the two of us, the Franco family will definitely choose me. Kamryn storted disdainfully, and what she said next was like a bucket of ice–cold water pouring over Nicole, chilling her to 

the bone. 

“It seems like you don’t know Charlie well enough, do you? Have you ever seen anyone force him into anything? Do you think you can blackmail him by using some dirty tricks afer getting pregnant? Nicole, you’re being too naive.” 

Nicole was left stunned, biting her lip fiercely. 

She had thought she could provoke Kamryn, but she hadn’t anticipated that there was already trust between Kamryn and Charlie. 

Kamryn got in the car, looking into the rearview mirror. The reflection in the mirror appeared somewhat pale. 

She brushed her hair, which was tousled by the wind, but still couldn’t settle her restless mind.
