Zackery looked at them blankly. Then he laughed coldly, his lips shaking as he said a few words. “Well then! You two are in on it. Making me feel like an asshole, huh?” 

Rose was too scared to say. 

Zackery trembled to reach for a pack of cigarettes. He was about to light one and take a few puffs to calm down, but then he saw the pitiful sight of Rose and Nicole curled up together. He thought about Nicole’s unborn child, who was barely a month along in her womb, and a sudden wave of anxiety hit him. He threw the cigarette pack away in anger. 

The pack hit the windshield and then fell down along the center console. 

Zackery covered his face as if he were giving up his soul. He lowered his body and didn’t realize his voice had become hoarse, asking, “Nicole! You’re doing this to kill me. Do you get it?” 

Rose was stunned. 

Wilson was also shocked. Zackery had always been a strong figure in their eyes, full of confidence and energy. 

But now, he broke down in tears in front of them for the first time because of Nicole. 

Nicole was even more terrified. She felt that she had hurt her father so much, but she had no way to comfort him. She felt like 

a guilty party, unable to do anything but curl up in pain, feeling heartbroken for her father and for herself. 

At the same time, her hatred for Charlie grew stronger. 

As deep as her love once was, her hatred ran just as deep. 

All the love she had for Charlie had turned into a deep–rooted grudge,

Zackery stayed silent, crying quietly. He remained silent all along the way, 

It was clear that his heart was heavy, and Rose didn’t dare to bother him. 

After getting home, they sat in the living room. Rose told the nanny to take Nicole to her room to freshen up. 

Nicole was a mess, especially her dress, which was soaked in milk. She needed to change into dry clothes before doing other things. 

Zackery settled down a bit and then suddenly said, “Nicole is pregnant with Andrew’s kid, right?” 

Rose and Wilson looked at each other and nodded. 

With Nicole gone, Zackery finally lit a cigarette and took a few deep drags. After a while, he said heavily. “Let’s get rid of the baby while it’s still early.” 

Hose gasped at his decision, asking. “Get rid of the baby?” 

Zackery snapped impatiently, “Or what? Are we supposed to let this bastard be born?” 

Wilson asked in worry. “Will Nicole agree?” 

“She doesn’t get to choose anymore since she ended up with a baby. Besides, she just promised me in the car that she would let me handle this. We can’t keep this kid. She’s not married, and if she has a baby, it will be a huge scandal for the Duarte famuly, Before anyone finds out, I’ll make arrangements and find a trustworthy private hospital to do the abortion.” 

Zackery’s tone was chillingly calm, almost cruel
