It was late at night. 

While asleep, Kamryn turned over and suddenly woke up. 

She sat up with the quilt in her arms, rubbed her eyes, and turned to look at the other side of the bed. Charlie was nowhere be seen… 

She reached in and found that his side of the bed had turned cold. 

It was as if the person who had been sleeping there had quietly left a long time ago. 

Kamryn thought, ‘Where did he go?” 

The bedroom was pitch dark. The curtains were tightly closed, and even the night lights were off. 

Kamryn was a little afraid of the dark. She couldn’t see clearly in dim light, so now she couldn’t see anything in this dark

“What’s wrong?” Charlie saw that she didn’t look well.

Charlie asked, “Does it have anything to do with the company?”
