His scowl frightened her a bit. She stood helplessly with the box in her arms and didn’t react for a while. 

Charlie couldn’t bear it any longer. He grabbed the cardboard box she cherished and summoned the maid to take it out. 

Maybe because he moved the box too roughly, it shook a few times. The puppy inside was scared and whimpered. It curled up in the corner, shivering-

“Don’t move Charlie warned with a cold face. 

After taking off her wet clothes with one hand, he wrapped her in a thick bath towel and put her under the heater. Then he rolled up his sleeves expressionlessly. 

Why is he rolling up his sleeves? Does he want to teach me a lesson Kamryn thought in horror. 

She clutched the edge of the bath towel with a timid expression.

He ignored her and went into the bathroom without saying a word with a straight face. 

Soon, the sound of water splashing could be heard.

Steam went up, and the temperature in the bathroom suddenly rose a lot. 

Kamryn walked over and saw Charlie squatting there filling the bathtub with hot water and checking the temperature. 

Under the soft light, she saw his attractive and chiseled side face, his dark eyebrows, and his long eyelashes. He looked gentle and handsome, but his jaw was tight and his thin lips were pressed together in anger. 

It was clear that he was angry. 

It wasn’t because she brought a puppy home, but because she ignored her health for the filthy dog. 

But even though he was very angry, he didn’t leave her here. Instead, he took great care of her, filling the tub with warm water to keep her from getting sick. 

She sniffed.

He paused and said coldly without looking back, “Stand under the heater. The bath will be ready soon. 

She rubbed her head against his shoulder and asked cautiously, “Are you angry?”
