“Have dinner, go to bed, and read, Charlie said calmly. “See, I’m very busy.”

“How can you do this?” she said, amused and angry. “We had a deal. Don’t go back on your word!”

“Then let’s go to the vet after dinner?”

Kamryn was amused by his vivid description and couldn’t help bursting into laughter. 

“You’re exaggerating. Animal hospitals are nicely decorated and clean inside. If you don’t trust me, you can go see for yourself 

Charlie sneered with a look that said, “Don’t try to lie to mer

Kamryn rolled her eyes and revealed a slightly disappointed and sad expression. 

She spread out her hands and said, “Okay, then stay at home, watching over Eugene. I’ll go by myself” 

The driver would take l 

her wherever she needed to go, and it was very convenient,

Aher a while, they walked out of the bathroom and heard a servant’s panicked voice from the balcony. “Mr. Eugene, this puppy is too dirty Stay away from it. Please don’t touch it. Please let it go. 

The two of them were stunned 

Charle frowned and strode to the balcony. 

Kamryn was worried and hurried over too.

He silently took a step back, aware that she had always been better at handling Eugene than he was. 

She stepped forward and said softly, “Eugene?” 

The little boy moved slightly. 

She acted sad and said, “Honey, you haven’t spoken to me in a while. I’m really bummed. Eugene, do you not want me to be your mom anymore?” 

The little boy moved again. His eyelashes fluttered, and he slowly turned around. 

Kamryn squatted in front of him, raised her pitiful face, and said sadly, “Do you really not want me to be your mommy anymore?” 

Nicole was silent. 

Unable to resist her sad face, the little boy finally said, “I want you!” 

“That’s a relief!” said Kamryn with a beaming smile. 

Then she asked, “Do you also like this dog very much? So you came to see it?” 

Eugene nodded slightly.
