“Sleep tight, Juls.” Willow thought she had woken Julian up and she coaxed him gently to sleep.

Julian was sad and he wanted to give Willow a hug, but he was afraid that Willow knew that he wasn’t asleep.

So, he continued sleeping so that Willow wouldn’t worry about him.

Willow went out of the room to wash up once she noticed that the kids were in a deep sleep again.

It was Willow’s working day the next day.

She hadn’t been eating and resting well in Royal Garden for the past few days and she had slept late last night.

There was no one in the house when she woke up. She panicked and picked up her phone to see that it was already ten something in the morning.

The kids had already left for school, but Lara hadn’t returned yet.

Willow called her and learned that she had gone to play poker after she dropped the kids off at kindergarten.

She felt at ease and she prepared to go to work.

When she was driving, an unknown number called her.

“Hello, may I know who is speaking?” Willow asked politely.

“Wills, it’s me. George.”

Willow’s first reaction was to hang up once she heard the name.

“Wait, I just wanted to let you know that Hailey made it to the final for the Food Appreciation Contest. It’s in three days at 10 AM. Don’t forget about it,” George said.

“Got it,” Willow replied bluntly.

“Wills, where are your manners? I’m your dad after all.”

Willow was furious at his words.

He also said that as long as she accepted his money, he wouldn’t look for her again and treat her as a stranger.

Willow was in an urgent situation and she couldn’t think straight. She just wanted to get rid of George as soon as possible, so she did not reject him.

When he went to the bathroom, she saw his bed in the ward, so she shoved the card under his pillow to return the bank card to him.

There were no surveillance cameras in the ward and the person who took her picture couldn’t follow her into the ward.

That person only captured the image of her taking the bank card but not her returning it.

Jasper was furious when he saw the photos and he thought that Willow and George had a good relationship.

He wouldn’t listen to Willow’s explanation.

When Willow was about to hang up, George asked, “What’s your relationship with Jasper?”

She froze and wondered why George was asking about this.
