Chapter 163 Red Roses 

Looking at Janet, who was surrounded by many people, Nathaniel couldn’t help but smile, but he didn’t go there immediately. 

He thought that he was different from those people, and he would go to Janet after the crowd dispersed. 

However, when the crowd had finished congratulating Janet and dispersed, another man came to her before him. 

Nathaniel paused for a moment and stopped. 

Nathaniel stood not far away, staring unblinkingly at Janet and Nigel. 

When Nathaniel saw the bouquet in Nigel’s arms, his face instantly became gloomy. 

“Congratulations, Jill!” 

Nigel handed the bouquet of red roses to Janet. 

It was a large bouquet of red roses. It looked warm and flamboyant, just like the person who sent it. 

Looking at the roses in front of her and Nigel’s smiling face, Janet was surprised. 

“When did you prepare for this?” 

“Well… Last night.” 

Nigel scratched his head awkwardly. He had actually been worried that Janet would think that red roses were too gorgeous. 

Last night, he spent nearly an hour on an APP and finally felt that no flower was better than red roses. 

When he first met her, she was confident, flamboyant, and full of passion. 

Most importantly, this kind of flower that only lovers would send, so he wanted to use this excuse to satisfy his purpose. 

He was also worried that Janet would not accept it. 

But it proved that his worries were unnecessary. 

Janet did not feel that something was wrong at all. She took the bouquet and said with a smile, “Thank you. The roses are very beautiful But how did you know that I would win? You even prepared this in advance.” 

Nigel breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed. He smiled. 

“Didn’t I say it already? With our friendship, of course, I have to help you win it.” 

Since there were no other people present, Nigel started to joke around with her. Anyway, no one would hear it. 

“Don’t talk nonsense. I won with my own ability!” Janet pretended to be angry and said seriously. 

Nigel comforted her and nodded repeatedly. “Yes, Jill, you’re the best!” 

She didn’t correct him on the way he addressed her. Even when she brought it up, he would continue to address her affectionately. 

In Nathaniel’s eyes, this had become a signal of acquiescence.

“Actually, I knew that you would definitely win, so I prepared the flowers in advance.” Nigel suddenly became serious. He looked into

Janet was shocked by his straightforward and passionate eyes. A thought suddenly came to her mind, but she quickly denied it.

Nathaniel glanced at Nigel indifferently, intending to walk past him to Janet. 

“You are wrong.” 

Nigel stopped Nathaniel and reached out to pull Janet to his side, gently holding her shoulder. 

Sensing her surprise and slight struggle, Nigel used some strength to signal her not to move. Then, he smiled at Nathaniel and said, “Mr. Webster, you may not know that Jill and I have an extraordinary relationship. I will protect her and not let anyone else hurt her.” 

He was imploring Nathaniel to stay away from Janet.
