Radioactive Runaway novel Chapter 17

once i was out of seeing distance i quickly shifted, shreading my clothes... NO! my unicorn socks! i kept running until i knew for sure no one was following me, i couldn't go back... ever.

jake's_p.o.v.

"what was that?!" i ask colten angrily, that he just let my little sister run away out into the woods alone!

"i couldn't catch her." colten says trying to catch his breath. nobody was stronger than an alpha, let alone faster how could he not catch her?

"bull sh*t" i mummbled under my breath. "well what's going on?"

"i don't know.. marty what are you talking about?!" he says turning his attention to the hunter that is standing in the corner of the room with an evil grin plastered on his face.

"you'll find out soon enough." he says with his head held high. "and once you do, it will be to late. concider yourself at war." he finished with a little evil laugh and walked out.

what the hell?

"at war?" i ask angrily at colten, how could he be so stupid to start a war with hunters when we just had one with... the exact same hunters... "again?"

"yes again, but first we need to find ellie before the hunters do." he sighed and went to his desk sending out our best men to look for her, and that includes me.

-----10 munites later----

there were 30 of us, some of the best of the pack, all shifted in wolf form getting ready to go seach for our luna.. also known as my little sister .. ellie curtis.

colten couldn't come, even though his wolf was fighting he knew he had to stay with the pack.. becasue of the recet war he just declared.... stupid alpha.

'i heard that.' coltens voice soon come's into my head... stupid pack link. 'heard that to.' and with that i put my gaurd up so he couldn't here any of my thoughts.

Once we were about 20 feet from the pack house, Felix one of our best trackers caught her sent.

and we were off.

then, a few others picked up her sent, then i did.. her sent was getting stronger and stronger, which meaned she was close.

okay this may be weird but i talk to myself.. when i'm stressed..

"and i'm stressed!" i cried out.

"ok, with my luck maybe all the hunters would be dead by the time i get back.. who am i kidding what luck?!"

as i walk-semi-run i looked at the features of the forest, the tree's were different arrays of green that were blowing in the light wind, the sun was slowly going down, the forest floor was covered in leaves and mud, and it was a pretty nice day out,,, aside from the war that's breaking out just a few miles up..

i could finally see the pack house, the big pack modern pack house.... and the war breaking out right in front.

we were defenitaly out numbered, lots of the hunters had killed wolves already.

a sharp pain came shooting through my ribs sending me to the ground, i clenched the ground, as i breathed heavily trying my best not to scream and give away my hiding spot. i bit my touge to give away some pain, but that only made it worse, once i felt blood stream inside my mouth...

i knew this wasn't my own pain.
