Radioactive Runaway novel Chapter 27

"Ellie?" Jake asked snapping me out of my thoughts. "Are you even listening?" He chuckled.

"Sorry what?"

"We are now going to the second part of the list." Jake said waving the list in front of my eyes and then lead me out of the office and down the hall into the large dinning room.

"What's going on?" I asked him.

"Pack meeting."

Once we stepped foot into the pack meeting i was engulfed into loud laughter, and talking, and various different scents of different wolfs, they were all happily talking and not even realizing the presence of an alpha.

"Okay Ellie, You need to show them you can't be pushed around if I talk that just shows how much weaker you are, You need to use full alpha tone and scare them out of there pants, Tell them how they need to put more respec-"

"Okay i get it." I hushed Jake.

"Okay. Go." Jake said as he gave me a light push towards the front.

Here goes nothing...

"Attention." I said in a loud voice but nobody paid attention.

"Excuse me?" Still no one, Then Adam tried pushing me back to help me out.

"I CAN DO THIS MYSELF!" I yelled at Adam, not realizing how much power i just put into that yell as he cautiously stepped down, When i turned around all eyes were on me, Flabbergasted.

"Okay.. Hello umm.. I'm here to address some-"

"She's just making a fool out of herself." someone said, i don't think anyone else hear but a few beside her But some how i heard her loud and clear.

'Your not alone, Colten.' My wolf pointed out.

Slowly i crept up towards coltens bed, every step i took my heart went faster, his heart monitor was at a steady beat , But it didn't help very much that it was even here. I grabbed a chair form the right side on the wall and pulled it towards his bed as it made a 'screeaacchiinggg' sound.

I plumped into the chair and looked at colten, He looked pale but not too pale, his hair was recently washed as well as the rest of him, He looked some what healthy..

some what.

"If you can hear me.." my voice started to crack. "I want you to know that things are getting better.." i grabbed onto his hand as his fingers made no move. "At least i think...Who am i kidding?" And with that i stood up pushed the chair back and when i was about to untangle my fingers and pull away,He grabbed onto my hand. "Colten." I said sitting back down.

"Everything okay in here?" Jake asked popping his head in.

"He's responding."
