Radioactive Runaway novel Chapter 6

"Beth! he's here, How could you not tell me?" I cried

"What ?" She said turning to the ice. "I swear I didn't know, come on we can leave." She said standing up and pulling me with her.

As we were pushing through the crowd of people i saw, My mate looking all around the stands for me, and when he couldn't find me he got off the ice.

"Go. go go!" I said pushing her forward.

"I'm going, im going."

"Well not fast enough, I can smell him coming."

Once we got out of there and his smell was completely gone i let out a breathe of air i didn't know i was holding in.

"Come on Ellie, were not safe yet." Beth said pulling me into her truck.

Adam knew, That's what he mean't by 'expect the unexpected.'

I don't know if i ever want to meet him, he scares me to death. the thought of meeting him makes my stomach flip and not in good ways. I don't know if it's because of the dream i had or it's just the whole authority thing, but something about him terrifies me.

After a few minutes of silence driving home Beth finally let a huff of air out.

"Well that couldn't of been closer." She said fake laughing.

"I agree."

"I'm sorry ell, I didn't know. I thought adam would of told me but, apparently not." She said frustrated.

"It's Okay. i just want to go to sleep."

"Yeah me too."

Once we got home I pulled myself out of her truck and into my bedroom, stripping into my pjs and crawling into bed.

I was standing in front of a boy were he layed he was lifeless a blood pool all around him and all over my hands, His eyes were cold and hard starring into me, i killed an innocent boy?

"Ellie whats the matter with you?" Beth asked me.

"I- i don't know."

"That's not gonna work this time, Besides I'm already tall enough." I said pulling on my moccasins

"Pft. Wait until you see the alpha."

After we were done getting me ready we still had about two hours so I helped Beth get ready.. Well not much, Baciaclly I just sat on her bed nodding, Well she asked random things.

"Does this make my butt look big?" Me, not listening just nodded my head. rerunning that in my head realizing I just said her butt was big.

"No! It looks fine!" I screamed, after looking at her upset face.

"To busy thinking about the alpha?" She smirked at me.

"No. Now come on we have to go how long of a drive is it to get there?"

"I think its a half an-hour so yeah lets go." She said grabbing her purse and phone and heading to the door to her truck as I followed. Once we were in the truck we blasted the music to sweater weather by the neighborhood. (I love that song.)

Once we were on the pack territory, I could already smell the faint smell of him, It was delightful and made my stomach do flips But, At the same time it terrified me. It terrifying me that what if he was like in my dreams, What if i was like in my dreams. what if I stayed with him and ended up killing someone.

I want my life to be normal, Have a normal mate, a normal family, And a normal wolf. But No I was stuck with an alpha mate, no family, an awful past ,and a not so normal radioactive wolf.
