I know she hates me but I can't help but feel attached to her in a certain way.
Even when I was away, I still felt like I was missing something and she was the only thing that could feel that hole.
I know I'm a dick, I took her trust and I destroyed it. Crumbled it right in my hands and walked away.
"Emily?" I called out to her again, wiping each and every single tear that seemed to fall from her beautiful brown eyes.
Emily and I sat there for a while, me wiping off every tear on her face and her sitting their quietly.
Finally Emily didn't have anymore tears to cry and instead she curled herself up into a ball and sat in silence.
A part of me wanted to be selfish and still keep her close, never letting her go.
But, I know it's not me she needs, it's the man she's going to marry.
Liam Shivers, Emily Rose's father walked Colton, Emily Rose's brother and I towards a corner of the wall.
"Men," Liam said, his sharp eyes scanning both Colton and I. "Anything you want to say?"
Why the fuck I am I here? It's your son.
I kept quiet. I'm not a dumbass, I know when to speak and when to shut the fuck up.
But, Colton on the other hand... I beg to differ.
"Dad-," Colton tries to say but is shut down with a glare.
"Now let me tell you what the hell you two dumbass did wrong. Do you know where you two are?" Liam snaps at us.
"The hospital," Colton and I answer at the same time and Colton sends a glare my way.
Hate you, too, Dickface.
"Yes, the hospital, now why tell me why you two were running up on each other as if you were outside and not at a public place. This is not about you! This is about Emily..." Liam began to scold but I blocked him out and turned to look at the person who always has my attention, nowadays.
She was talking to a blond haired couple before a doctor walked up to them.
The doctor had gotten their attention and held it for a while, talking to them about something. Emily starts to twiddle her thumbs, a habit she does when she's nervous or scared.
It takes every fiber of willpower in my body not to go and check if she's okay.
Liam's voice continues to go in one ear and out of the other as I watch the doctor motion to follow him and turn to leave with the couple.
Right when I think Emily's going to stay in this depressing ass waiting room, she does something that completely surprises me.
I leaned against the white, sickening wall of the hospital. If I didn't, I'm pretty sure, I probably would've fell to the ground in shock.
Unfortunately, while confessing why I'm here to Liam, I learned a secret that can make or break my future and so many others.
Mostly Peter Pan's in there and I don't know if I want to keep it.
I ran my hand through my hair, letting a huff of air leave my lips.
Damnit, of course this would fucking happen to me.
And just when I thought I was alone in this hallway, I feel another presence.
"She's been in there all day." A familiar voice says and I suppress a groan.
I was silent for second before replying, "yeah, I know."
"You shouldn't be here." Colton said and I pushed myself off the wall and faced Colton.
"Oh really, Colton? And the fuck do you think you are?" I cross my arms, my eyes narrowing on him.
"I'm my sister's brother, the girl you seem to follow around to every fucking place with your fucking tail between your legs." He laughed harshly. "For most of the shit that has been going on you've been pretty pacifistic and knowing you, that's pretty damn weird." A smirk slips onto his lips.
