"What the fuck do you want, Colton?" I snap.
"I know why you're here." Colton harshly whispers.
"Don't, Colton," I warn, my hands began to clench into fist.
"Don't what, Parker? Kick your ass out." Colton snaps at me. "Don't forget, I know you. Everyone does. The only person who seems to be blinded by your act is my dumbass sister."
I'm going to kick his ass.
"Don't call her that..." I growl. "I'm trying to redeem myself, Colt. You of all people should know what's that like."
Colton steps back, his face written with shock.
Thought I didn't remember, huh, asshole?
"Don't compare me to you Parker, you're a fucking monster." Colton sneers.
"It takes one to know one." I retort, not caring if I hurt this asshole's feelings.
Silence fills the hallway, clouding over mine and Colton's anger.
"You know, don't you?" Colton asks me, his voice turning wary.
"Yeah."
Colton stays quiet again and I bite my lip.
"You need to tell her..."
"I can't, it's wrong." Colton disagrees, he looks downward at the tile floor.
"Keeping it from her is wrong." I snap quickly.
If Colton is affected, he doesn't shows it. It's almost as if he's speaking to himself and I'm not even in the room.
"He's in a coma, Parker. I promised."
"Promises are meant to be broken."
"Like yours?" Colton's head snaps up to look me in eyes.
I stay silent.
Shit, he isn't wrong.
Colton signs. "It'll break her, Parker. It'll ruin everything she stands for."
I bite my lip.
"Let it."
Anger rushes into Colton's eyes. "You want her just like you, huh? You don't give a shit about her, do you?" Colton accuses, rage pulsing in his voice.
"No, it's the exact opposite," I pause to take a deep breath, "I love her too much to have her like me," I whisper into the air, instantly regretting it.
Why the fuck would I tell him that?
"I'm sor-," Colton starts but I cut him off.
"Tell her. Tell her, or her pure, innocent soul will turn harsh and cold. She'll hate you. And everything around her. Everything that man stands for, will kill her and she'll go down a path that no one can survive unharmed. No one." I tell him and he looks down at the ground.
Suffocating silence takes over and I take that as my cue to leave.
"Are you ready to go?" Cameron asked me as she stood in the doorway of Tomas' hospital.
I nod, daring not to speak.
After a week of staying in this shitty hospital room, I can to the striking conclusion that I can't keep staying here, waiting for Tomas to wake up.
It's not healthy for me and he'll sure be pissed when he wakes up and realizes that I've spent most of my days and nights in here, instead of running my business and living.
Cameron's eyes slip towards Tomas' laying body. She stares at him for a second before drawing her attention back towards me and giving me a sad smile. "Okay, then let's go.
I take one last look at my fiancé and blow him a kiss before we leave the room.
Cameron and I walk side by side as we walk towards the hospital's front doors.
I take a quick glance at the familiar waiting room, that used to be filled with a crowd of people all worried for Tomas and his safety, was now near empty.
That's the thing about people, the only time they'll actually care is when you're being born or dying. Otherwise that they'll leave and you'll probably near see them again.
My heart begins to pain as I began to think of Parker.
Right after I heard his conversation with Colton, Parker disappeared, not showing up for six days.
A couple days ago, while I was going to the bathroom, I overheard Cameron and Colton talking about him.
"Dumbass, he's such a dumbass." Cameron whispers, her voice coming off cruel and harsh.
"Calm down, okay? I know he'll show up sometime." Colton said calmly.
"It's been 4 days, Colton! 4! It hasn't been this bad since he disappeared on us the first time." Cameron scoffed.
