Kendall.
I sat on the couch playing with my fingers, everything is just getting crazy for me. All I do is just eat, sleep, think, think, think, repeat. Ryan tries speaking to me but I don't even say anything and as for Danielle, she's been the same. We don't speak and it should stay that way because it would just be awkward.
I sighed before turning off the television and walking into the kitchen. Maybe a bite to eat would make me feel better, but deep down nothing would be able to fix this. I opened the fridge but efore I couple grab anything, the phone began to ring. I sighed deeply before slamming the door, and walking towards my phone.
"Hello." I asked.
"Do not answer the phone like that now." The voice said.
"Um? Who is this?" I asked.
"Damn, you just forgot about your buddy but you'll see, I been looking everywhere for you and I discovered from Kasey that you moved elsewhere," The stranger replied.
"Oh my, Rickey! I missed you." I screamed.
He chuckled, "Unlock the door, Doll."
I literary ran to the door before almost busting my ass. I opened the door and jumped into his arms. I bet you are wondering, who is Rickey? Rickey is my bestfriend but more like a brother. We have mad history with one another. He was like my bully in Middle School, he would always pulls my ponytails and call me, "Little Debbie." but One Day, we were both at this kickback and we have been close every since.
He carried me inside and closed the door, "I missed you too, Debbie."
"Shut up, that is not my damn name." I growled.
"You are much bigger than the last time I saw you." Rickey said with a smirk.
I laughed, "Sit the fuck down before I bust your lip. Tell me where did you go?"
"Well, I dropped out of school our senior year for a reason and I hate the way I left. I didn't get to tell anyone goodbye. Well, you or Kasey because I never fucked with anyone during our high school years heavy except you two. I left because my brother was going through some tough shit, three daughters and he had no help. I still was in school then but I had like 3 jobs but they wasn't shit. One night, I was watching the girls while he went out but he never returned. I just thought maybe he got with some friends and slept over with them but in the middle of the night, I got a phone call saying that he got shot. When I made it to the hospital, he told me to look out for his girls. I told him, he wasn't gon die cause he was a Johnson and we some strong ass men, ya feel me? He was doing perfectly fine, but shit flipped, we gave each other dap and he told me to not let go of his hand and I didn't. When I woke up from a quick nap, his grip has loosened and his eyes were wide open. I knew right then and there that my brother had died leaving his family behind. I dropped out of school two days later and started selling drugs. I done killed a few but that life ain't for me. I got three beautiful girls and I don't want to put them in danger so I got my life together and moved to California," Rickey explained.
"I am so sorry for that, Rickey . You really are one strong individual." I replied.
He sniffed, "It's good, Debbie."
I nodded and rubbed his back. Who knew Rickey was going through so much? I couldn't imagine loosing someone just like that. It was truly sad, but I am happy that he is doing so much better!
"What about you, Debbie?" He asked.
"Um, nothing much honestly, still the same ole Kendall." I replied.
"Living in this big ass house?" He asked, amazed.
"Yeah, this is NOT my house. Well, it is but then It isn't. I'm just living here with Ryan, alright?" I answered.
"Tell me about this Ryan."
I laughed, "He is just an engaged, businessman."
"Mhm."
"Rickey, I have something to tell you." I stated.
"What is it?" He asked.
Ryan.
I sat in the parking lot and smiled at the photo that was showing on my phone. It was a photo of Kendall, smiling and a beautiful diamond ring, shined on her finger. I did not think she would say yes but she did. A week later, she became distant and she has been like that since. I have no idea what is going on with her but hopefully, it isn't something too big.
