Finlay let out a soft whimper and finally loosened his tail around Analise.
"Can you shift back now?" Analise chuckled, picking up one of his massive paws and giving the soft pads a playful squeeze.
He let out another whine, and then Finlay shifted back into his human form, but there was a dazed look in his eyes.
"Ana…" he murmured, his voice full of longing. He pulled her into his arms, clinging to her like she was the only thing keeping him grounded. "I feel awful."
That soft, pitiful tone hit Analise right in the heart. She couldn't possibly say no to that.
"Alright. Let's get you inside first," she coaxed gently, her chin resting lightly against his collarbone.
"Mhm…" Finlay released her, letting her take his hand and guide him into the room.
"So, how exactly do I help you?" Analise teased, eyes gleaming as she reached down and tugged on his tail.
She couldn't help herself at all.
Earlier, she had tried soothing him using her mind essence when Scott mentioned that Finlay was in heat. But she had purification power. Her mind essence didn't seem to work on Finlay at all.
Finlay was in heat. It wasn't a toxin or parasite. Her purification power was useless here.
Besides, her E-grade mind essence didn't come close to calming Finlay, who was in S-grade.
Even if she were S-grade, she would have had to stay by his side constantly to help him maintain control throughout the heat.
Right now, the amount of her mind essence was like offering a drop of water to someone dying of thirst when what he needed was a full bottle.
However, Echo had told her that while her mind essence couldn't help much, she could at least brew a Purification Potion to ease his pain and help him stay partially rational. Still, that physical ache would remain until the cycle passed.
