“I’m such a bad wife.” I said softly.

“No you’re not” he whispered while tucking some hair behind my ear.

I looked up at him and studied his gorgeous face.

Beautiful warm brown eyes, amazing curly hair, silky smooth caramel skin with a little bit of stubble on his face, delicious plump lips. He was beautiful from head to toe.

I sighed, “Yea I am”

“I shouldn’t be here with you right now Tony”

He stared at me softly while I gave him the same speech since the first time we’ve slept together.

“I have a husband who I love, and two beautiful children who I also love. My life is great, but here I am committing adultery….and falling in love with another man wanting to start a family with him. It’s not right, but my heart is telling me it is.”

He kissed me tenderly on my lips.

“What are you gonna do, what are we gonna do?” He asked with some worry in his voice.

I didn’t know how to answer…. I didn’t really have an answer.

Me and Tony have been secretly together for six months now.

I’ve been making excuses to my husband about random things just so me and Tony could spend more time together.

Tonight it was time to make another excuse.

I rolled over and reached for my phone to give Noah a call.

The phone rang for a bit before he picked up.

“Hey honey!” He answered, sounding a little breathless.

I raised my brow wondering what he could possibly be doing.

I decided to ignore it so I could continue telling my lie to him.

“I won’t be coming home tonight sweetie, my boss asked me to come in tonight to help out.”

I waited a few seconds for a response but I didn’t get one.

“Noah honey did you hear me?” I asked, confused as to what he could possibly be doing.

“Uh no sorry, can you repeat that please. I was checking the food that I'm making for dinner tonight”

I nodded my head in realization now understanding why he was breathless and hardly answering me.

Noah loves to cook, when he’s in the kitchen he’s always running around trying to make sure everything that he needs is out and that he’s cleaning up as he goes.

Since he hadn’t heard me, I decided to repeat what I had said. Except this time I added more to it.

“It’s okay dear, I was just calling to tell you that I got a call from my boss and she wants me to come in for work for the night. Apparently one of the workers got sick and she had needed help to organize some files and do some other work around the lab. I figured I'd accept the offer, a little extra money don't hurt”. I chuckled trying to make sure I sounded as believable as possible.

There was a slight pause.

“So umm.. what time you think you'll be back”

I wanted to spend an eternity with Tony, but I had to be reasonable and really think this through.

I settled with spending one night and a day with him.

And so my lie continued. “Glad you asked, I most likely won't be back till the end of my work shift tomorrow. Decided I might as well stay at the job and work until the end of my shift. So I'll be back by noon tomorrow meaning you might have to prepare breakfast for the kids”

I heard a slight groan, I figured that something probably annoyed Noah while he was cooking.

“Got it honey, I'll miss you tonight. As well as the kids.” He said.

“I'll miss you too sweetie, tell the kids I said goodnight, and to save me some of that dinner you're making!” I said laughing a little.

I hung up the phone and put it to the side.

I looked up at Tony.

“Looks like we have all night and tomorrow morning to be together” I said smiling a little.

I felt guilty, really really guilty.

But the feeling subsided a little when Tony brought his lips down to mine.

We made out with each other for a little while. When Tony pulled away we were both breathless.

He rubbed the side of my cheek with his thumb staring lovingly into my eyes.

“I love you” he said softly.
