Stella and Jane dragged her to some posh dessert bar which happened to be New York's new thing. Mia didn't refuse because who could say no to sweet and alcohol? That's how she doing herself sitting with my her best friends, drinking a splash of champagne and fruit on the patio of the new bar.

It was a warm evening. Breeze blew by them as they sat on the edge, away from prying ears talking about everything and nothing.

"So, how's work?" Stella asked, between a mouthful and another in her fruit tart. That didn't look edible at all. Mia didn't know why her friend took an extra serving of that. "Is that asshole of your boss still pissing you off, Mia?"

At the mention of Damon, a shiver ran down her spine. Her disdain towards her boss wasn't exactly a secret to the people close to her. More than often she got teased about it. Usually, Mia could brush it off but not after he gave her the best orgasm of her life.

"Oh, that wonderful creature," Jane sighed, a dreamy look in her eyes as she took a massive swig of her mint mojito. "Stella, you need to see him. He's the perfect human being. He's a god. Really. There's nothing wrong with him, physically-the perfect face, body, clothes, hair. Oh, God, the hair. He has that kind of hair that looks carefully messy as if he just had sex with someone."

Mia clenched her thighs together. She didn't need to be reminded of that hair. Those silky strands felt perfect and so long under her fingers.

"But...I thought he's an asshole" Stella's loud voice broke her fantasy. Shaking her head, she focused on her friend. "That's what Mia told me. Also, after one day of meeting him, she wanted to puncture all the tires on his car."

Mia spluttered at those words. She did say that to Stella because her boss was ravishing, tall and had this piercing green eyes that turned her legs into jelly at sight and also very cold. That's not a good combination. For her.

Jane laughed. "Oh yeah, I remember that. I mean he's handsome but also a class jerk."

"You know..." Stella started and then blinked as if trying to understand the reasons. "Perhaps his childhood was difficult."

Mia snorted. Not a chance. His family had to be the most perfect one out there. Perfection does exist. Every one of them was warm and equally welcoming.

"Have you seen his family?" She made a noise, turning towards her friend. "They even seem to have come out of a commercial as perfect as they are."

"It's true," Jane acknowledged. "Last time I was there for a party Mrs Rossi asked someone to get me a cuppa and even talked about my pregnancy. She's very kind."

Stella bobbed her head. "Oh...Maybe it's some kind of defence mechanism. He's the son of one of the multi-millionaire family after all. That's why he feels like he has to work harder than anyone else. Just to prove that he's not just a pretty face who got his chair."

Mia shook her head. "There is no reason behind this. He thinks that everyone should care and work as much as possible, but most people don't think so. And that irritates him."

"Are you defending him, Mi?!" Jane asked with a fake, affronted voice.

Mia blushed, rolling her eyes. "Not."

Why was she defending him? That's so unusual for her. Besides its the truth she learned over the past six months. Damon is one of the most hardworking people she ever met.

"Well," Stella drawled, shrugging her shoulders and taking a long sip of her drink. "It may be that, or he's simply irritated because he has a small dick."

Mia choked on her drink, coughing and spluttering before wiping her mouth. His thing pressed against her stomach was anything but small. She's embarrassed to open her mouth and defend him. They still didn't know about her encounters with Damon Rossi. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she focused on downing the rest of her drink while her friends laughed.

The next morning Mia was stuck preparing the files and arranging the laptop on the table. She was in Damon's office, making sure he had everything he needed for the presentation. They had to be in the conference room in twenty minutes to show the proposal on the projector.

Just then her eyes fell on the windows. On instinct, she reached out and touched the smooth glass, overwhelmed by the memory of the sensations: the warmth of her body was pressed against it. His animalistic sound echoed in her ears as he shamelessly wanted to fuck her against the glass window.

Her eyes rolled back at the memory. She heard someone clear their throat from behind. Mia jumped a little.

"Daydreaming at work, Miss Grace?"

"No...sir" She swallowed, her mind still reeling from earlier imagination. Their eyes met for a second, and his beauty once again struck her. Mia quickly broke eye contact.

"Is everything ready for my presentation?"

"Yes, sir."

Damon cleared his throat a little harsh than necessary before she could answer the question. "If you two are done chatting, we can start the presentation."

His father rolled his eyes. "Always so impatient. This one. Fine start it"

Mia felt a nudge in her elbow. She turned around only to see Damon grinning at her. Her boss pointed to the laptop. "I thought Mia should start with it since she's the one who made this"

Her mouth fell open at that. Was he actually letting her do something? She blinked at him, waiting for him to laugh and turn into a joke. If it's a joke, then it's a cruel one. Two sets of eyes turned towards her, and she gulped loudly.

"I am excited to see it then" Rossi Sr warmly smiled, leaning back in his seat.

Mia awkwardly stood up, setting up the laptop when she felt it. She stopped in the middle of the room, with the air stuck in her throat. Damons hand gently pressed the part under her back, and he cornered her near the table. The heat from his body burned through her pants and reached the skin. Every muscle in her body tensed and her insides were on fire. What the hell was he doing? She thought to herself.

"Hope you can handle this" He blew warm breath in her ear. She immediately moved away and started the presentation.

During the meeting, they exchanged glances, her eyes filled with anger and his eyes with uncertainty. She couldn't believe that he would do that to her when his father was in the same room. How can he put her reputation at stake? Mia clenched her jaw just thinking about it.

As soon as it was over, she gathered her things and ran out of there. Not even bothering to say goodbye to Damon's father. As expected, her boss came right behind her for the elevator and swiftly slid in.

"Miss Grace, you..."

"I'm two seconds away from killing you."

His mouth fell open. "What?"
