“She’s interesting, but only just interesting,” Victor said, though there was an enigmatic hint of a smile on his 

face. 

He had originally come to see the renowned Evelyn. He hadn’t expected to meet Ariana. 

Between the two, Evelyn was surprisingly dull. All those pety tricks didn’t amount to much. If Brian weren’t indulging her, Evelyn wouldn’t be anything special. 

Early the next morning, Ariana headed to class. She had fallen behind a lot over the past few months of her leave. 

Glea College was the top institution for studying finance, drawing all the best students in Gleaston. Missing even a few months could quickly put her far behind. 

People often said high school was brutal, but Glea College was hellish 

After living through her previous life, Ariana realized how polish it had been to sacrifice her education for a man. 

This time, she absolutely had to graduate from Glea College. She would never drop out for Brian again. She could still remember all the disdainful looks she’d received in her past.

But today, the moment Ariana set foot on campus, she noticed quite a few people staring at her. Their stares made her uneasy. 

Just then, Selena ran over. “Hey! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to campus?” 

Selena seemed oblivious to the strange looks from those around them. Ariana furrowed her brow. “Did something happen at campus today?” 

“Something happened? Not that I know of. I just got here. Besides, what could possibly happen at Glea College?” 

Noticing Selena was clueless, Ariana let her gaze roam around campus. 

Soon, she saw a crowd of students gathered in one spot. 

“Let’s go take a look,” Ariana said, grabbing Selena’s wrist and heading that way. 

Selena had no idea what was going on. As soon as they got there, a chorus of hushed whispers rose around them. 

“That’s her…” 

“How could someone like her get into our college?” 

“How does she have the nerve to show up here?” 

The crowd’s comments were loud enough to hear. Ariana stepped forward and saw several photos taped to the bulletin board. 

One photo showed Ariana clinging to Brian. Another showed her linking arms with William. The last featured Victor with an arm around her waist. 

Words like “hooker“, “call girl“, “harlot“, and all sorts of insulting labels–were scrawled across them.

Selena angrily tore down the photos and yelled at the onlookers, “She’s the eldest daughter of the Torrey family! Who has the nerve to write such filth? Show yourselves!”
