All they cared about was having her sell the company and pay them back. 

As Ariana watched the scene unfold, she wasn’t surprised. This was exactly what she had expected. 

Calmly, she glanced at her lawyer, who stepped forward and set up a laptop in front of everyone. 

With a single keystroke, the screen displayed the company’s account balance surging by two billion. 

“As you can see, here’s the two billion,” the lawyer announced. 

Everyone was stunned. 

Two billion? 

Where did Ariana get that kind of money? 

Even Gwen was taken aback. 

When had Ariana come into possession of such an enormous sum of money? 

Seeing the shareholders crowding around to verify the funds, Ariana simply smiled and asked, “Now that we have money, does anyone have any questions?“” 

“Is it really two billion?” 

“Ms. Torrey, are you just trying to calm us down?” 

“Where did this two billion come from?”

Leaning back in her chair, Ariana replied, “Everyone should be focused on resolving the company’s crisis, not where this money came from. Isn’t that right?”

She snapped, “Ariana, if you’ve had this two billion all along, why didn’t you use it sooner? You’ve made everyone. worry for nothing. What are you up to?” 

Gwen’s face was etched with resentment. 

She was certain that Ariana had orchestrated this to take control of the company from her. 

The thought only fueled her anger. 

“Ms. Lambert, I worked hard to earn this money. It’s a bit unfair for you to blame me when you haven’t contributed anything,” Arlana said with a smile. 

Gwen was left speechless for a moment, but then it hit her the control of the company was at stake! 

It was supposed to be her son’s!

Gwen took a deep breath and glanced at John standing beside her. They exchanged a knowing look. 

With an air of arrogance, Gwen spoke up, “Now that the company’s crisis has been resolved, Ms. Torrey, you don’t need to worry about anything else. I’ll handle the rest with the team.” 

Noticing that Ariana had no intention of leaving, Gwen pressed on. “Ms. Torrey, you’re still unfamiliar with the company. Even if you want to take charge, it’ll take years to get there. I’m just trying to look out for you.” 

Ariana suddenly let out a laugh.

Gwen replied shamelessly, “Ariana, I know you’re trying to claim the inheritance, but you’re still just a girl. Have you ever seen a woman successfully run a company and ear everyone’s respect? I think we should wait until Igor is older before we talk about this further.” 

Ariana had long been aware of Gwen’s audacity, but it didn’t matter. 

She had come here today to put an end to Gwen’s delusional hopes of inheriting Torrey Co.
