Ye Fan was oblivious to the storm that was brewing in the martial arts circle.
He didn't care either anyway. Otherwise, he could have easily gotten himself the information that he wanted through Dragon God Hall.
The only thing that occupied Ye Fan's mind now was his personal grudge with the Chu family.
A month passed.
The news of Ye Fan's split with the Jiangdong military and his departure alongside the Green Dragon reached the Yanjing military.
Lu Tian-He and Fang Shao-Hong were dumbstruck when they heard the news.
The former hurried to the Jiangdong military camp that night so that he could personally find out what had happened from Wu Yang.
"Where's your commander? Where's Commander Wu?" yelled Lu Tian-He as he
barged into Wu Yang's headquarters.
"How dare you, Lu Tian-He! This is our headquarters! How dare you raise your voice and rant and rave! You might be from the Yanjing military camp, but that doesn't give you the right to ignore the military hierarchy and disrespect Commander Wu. This is Jiangdong, not Yanjing. Know your place and mind your tone if you want to speak to Commander Wu!"
Wu Yang was nowhere to be seen in the room. There was only Lin Qing-He and a few of his men going through some administrative affairs.
Lu Tian-He's disrespectful behavior had infuriated Lin Qing-He.
But Lu Tian-He couldn't be bothered with Lin Qing-He at all. He demanded to know where Wu Yang was.
"Commander Wu isn't around. You can report to me instead," said Lin Qing-He arrogantly.
"There's nothing I have to say to someone like you. I'm going to ask you again. Where's Commander Wu?" Lu Tian-He shot back.
Lin Qing-He was livid. Lu Qing-He had absolutely no regard for him at all. He was ready to blow up when a few men entered the room. At their helm was Wu Yang.
"What's all this ruckus? You're all generals. You should act the part. You might not be embarrassed by your behavior, but I am on your behalf," said Wu Yang unhappily. He glared at Lu Tian-He. "Why were you causing a commotion as soon as you stepped foot into our camp? Is our humble military camp not good enough for your esteemed self?"
Lu Tian-He paid no heed to Wu Yang's reprimand.
"Commander Wu," he asked anxiously. "Did you really drive Instructor Chu and the Green Dragon Force out of the Jiangdong military?”
"Yes. What about it? Ye Fan didn't deserve the role he was given. As the commanderin-chief, I have the right to strip him of his office. The Green Dragon Force is made up of a bunch of useless trash. I was ridding the military of parasites leeching off our resources."
What?"
"Commander Wu, what have you done?" lamented Lu Tian-He. "Do you know how much work I had to put in to get Instructor Chu to accept a position in the military? General Ye himself spoke highly of Instructor Chu and his abilities. If he's not fit to be the chief instructor of the Jiangdong military, then no one in the whole of China is. How could you drive him out of the military? How could you make such a rash decision without consulting us? You should have spoken to me."
Lu Tian-He's words rumbled furiously like thunder and reverberated forcefully in the room.
"You...you..."
Lu Tian-He had just openly called Wu Yang a fool. In fact, he had gone to the extent of ending the Yanjing military's collaboration with the Jiangdong military.
Wu Yang was livid. He had not expected such harsh words from Lu Tian-He. This was all because of a young punk by the name of Ye Fan.
"Fine! So be it! Lu Tian-He, go ahead and split ways with us! Get out! All of you can get out of my sight! I don't care for you anyway!" thundered Wu Yang as his eyes reddened with fury.
The anger must have been too much. Wu Yang was gripped by momentary blindness as a violent tremor coursed through his body. In the next moment, he collapsed onto the ground and passed out from sheer anger.
"Commander Wu! Quick, we have to get him to the hospital!"
Lin Qing-He and his men hurriedly carried
the unconscious Wu Yang out of the room.
Lu Tian-He didn't even spare them a look as he left.
