After informing everyone. I let them head back to the Pick–house. We keep a few Warriors on the lookout, but with Mason’s intel I do not expect any trouble soon 

I ask Jeff, Josh and Eric, the Warriors who stayed with me, to get everyone out of the shelters. Then I turn: to the Doctors and ask them if we had any fatalities. 

They shake their heads and I feel relieved. As I turn around, I see Julian pacing not far from me and then I see a Doctor working on someone, it takes a second before I realize it is Glenn.

I run 

to Julian and pull him in to a hug. There is a lot of blood, but I am not sure it all belongs to him. We just have to wait, until the Doctor is able to up–date us on Glenn’s status. 

Suddenly I hear a growl, I shake my head and turn towards Maddox. He doesn’t look happy and I can see that Cole is pushing forward, I give Julian a small smile before walking over to Maddox. 

“How can you be jealous? He is our friend and he is hurting right now.” I look up at Maddox. “Sorry, you are right. But I can’t help feeling this way. They say to me. 

Someone clears his throat behind me, I turn to see Uncle James standing there. I turn away from Maddox and jump into my Uncle’s arms, hugging him, I tell him I am glad he is safe. 

The second he puts me down, Maddox pulls me back in his arms and nuzzles my neck. Feeling his arms around me calms my nerves and I hope the Doctor will be giving us an up–date on Glenn soon. Seeing my friend upset is unsettling to me. 

“Should we bring out the food?” Lily asks and I am grateful for the distraction she gives me. “Please, do. We need to eat and it will make it easier to strategies.” Lily gets a few others to help her and soon all the food is brought outside. 

Mason and Stephan keep up–dating us on the Evil Moon Pack. I start to relax a little when I see Julian and Glenn approaching. “Good to see you back on your feet, Glenn.” He looks at Rico and then starts to sign. 

“You do realize you can just link me?” Rico asks him, that makes Glenn smile and then he links all of us. “Alpha, thank you for allowing Julian to bring me back here. That Wolf caught me by surprise. I’m glad I am on my feet again, because we all know this isn’t over yet.” We all nod because he is right. 

Maddox 

Just one more hour, just a little longer. Cole is pacing in my head and he is driving me nuts. I tell him to relax, but he is as nervous as I am. So I know it is pointless, but I try anyway. 

She is sitting right next to me and I can feel that she is nervous as well. Every member of my Pack is sitting. around us, some are eating and others are talking. 

When we go home, how will your Pack respond to all the new members?” Lucy asks. I smile at her and say “I am glad you already consider it home. And do not worry, they will welcome all of you with open arms. 

They have been informed about your backgrounds and the situation we found you in. They are glad I stepped up, they would have been displeased if I hadn’t Somehow it seems as if they all had been worried about being welcome. But I could see they were all relieved, after hearing my answer.

As we are tall about home, about the Pack and the territory, the time passes and suddenly I feel a pull. It feels as if there is a rope attached to my heart and someone or something is pulling it. 

I have felt this before and I realize what that means, my Mate is near. Looking next to me, I see Dagmar is no longer there and I start to panic. I jump up and I start looking around me to find out where she is. 

And then we lock eyes, my body has a mind of its own as I make my way over to her. A huge smile forms on her face when she realizes what is going on and I hope we have some time before the Evil Moon Pack gets here. 

Pulling her in my arms, I lower my head and capture her lips in a kiss. I break off the kiss and toss her over my shoulder. Without a word I walk to the house as fast as I can. 

Inside I run up the stairs, two at a time. The smell of her arousal becomes stronger and stronger. I open the door and kick it closed behind me, when I reach the bed I dump her on it. 

She giggles while she looks up at me. The next second slow, I know I won’t be able to. I need this woman and 

am on top of her, even though I want to take it need her now.
