1 feel every move she makes, we stay close and we keep taking Wolves and men down. Some are dead before they hit the ground and others get taken care of by the Warriors. 

I am no longer able to see Grace and I wonder if someone captured her already. Three Wolves charge at me, while Dagmar gets attacked by a man. I can feel that she hits the ground and that the wind gets knocked out of her, but she regains her breath fast. 

She is fighting the guy every way she can, the Wolves that are coming for me are pretty huge and for a second I want to shift to my Lycan form. But Cole stops me from doing so and I wonder why he stopped.

I jump up as one of them lunges at me, I’land on the Wolf to his left and I grab hold of his head, pulling it back and snapping his neck. Startled by what I just did, one of the remaining two Wolves knocks me on my back and he aims for my jugular. 

I am capable of dodging the attack and I lunge at the other Wolf. I extend my claws and rip his throat out, before I land on the ground. Then I turn my focus on the last Wolf in front of me and from the corner of my eye, I see Dagmar snapping the guy’s neck. 

“What the fuck.“I hear Cole mutter in my head, I ignore him and lunge for the Wolf. I jump on his back, him around and pin him to the ground. Just as I am about to slam my claw into his chest, Rico calls through the mind–link that we need him alive.

In my Alpha voice I command him to shift and then I turn my claw in to a fist, punching his lights out. My Pack–members gather around the unconscious guy and I can see that no one is injured, badly. 

Matteo stops next to me and he has a strange look on his face. “Was it just me or did something seem off to you as well?” He asks, Lance, Paul and Glenn nod their heads and I have to admit that he is right. 

Snapping a Wolfs neck is not an easy task in human form and I had done it with ease. I had even seen Dagmar snapping the neck of a man that was bulkier than me. 

Dagmar 

Matteo is right, going over this last fight and the one after the Full Moon, something did change for all of us. Was Alpha Max right? Did this have something to do with me? 

Emma and I go over the fights in our mind and we come to the conclusion that Matteo is not losing his mind. “Matteo, can you explain yourself? What did you notice during the fight?” I ask him. 

He points out that during the battles each wave had contained stronger and better trained men. And that the ones that had ran at the end of the last battle, were the ones that had shown up with Grace. 

He tells us that as a Lycan he had no trouble with the Wolves of the Evil Moon Pack, but that he had feared that our new members might run in to trouble. He explains that they had surprised him by defeating the enemy in pairs, that they had teamed up as we had been taught by Alpha Maddox. 

Julian, Sam and Chris confirm what Matteo explained and Lance looks at me “Luna Dagmar, do you think Alpha Max was telling the truth?” He asks me.

him and to my surprise he starts laughing. “Lance, I hope that answered your question.” He says and starts laughing again. 

I shake my head as 1 lend him a hand to get back on his feet. Then it dawns on me that I have not seen or heard Grace since the fighting had started. “Has anyone seen Grace?” I shout, but no one answers me. 

One of the Warriors of the Crescent Moon Pack steps forward, he bows his head to me and Maddox and says “She ran back to the tree line as soon as the fight started. Six Warriors went after her, but they lost her near the mountain ridge.”
