Chapter 166
Alpha Chris’s POV
Finished
A Guard links me that Christa is on her way to the Pack house with a Lycan from the Red Blood Pack. “How do you know from which Pack she is?” I ask him through the mind–link.
He tells me what he overheard and I chuckle, because I know Alpha Maddox and I know the female was right.
I inform the Guard that I will be at the front door when they reach the Pack–house and then I end the link.
Leaning on the fence of the front porch I see Christa and her guest walk towards the Pack–house.
I never
had much of an interest in women, but for some reason Christa is able to turn me
“Hello, Alpha Chris. Christa greets me as she walks up the three steps to the front door. She smiles at me and I have to restrain myself from grabbing hold of her
She introduces Izzy to me and tells me how they met.
“Izzy, thank you for saving Christa. I don’t know how I would have explained everything to Jean. If there is anything I can do to repay you, just ask” I say as I hold cut my hand to Izzy.
“Actually, I was on my way here. I would like to speak to Mrs. Manning. I hope she has a few answers to questions I have.” She says as she shakes my hand.
I link Stella and ask if she can join us for dinner, because there is a guest who would like to talk to her.
Stella agrees to join us for dinner and I inform Izzy and Christa. I am curious to hear Izzy’s story, if she is willing to tell anyone besides Stella.
Half an hour before dinner Stella walks into the Pack–house and starts smiling when she sees Izzy. “Hello, my dear. It is good to see you again.” She says as she pulls Izzy in for a hug and that is when I remember that Stella went to the Red Blood Pack for a visit.
But that was over a decade ago. Stella sees the funny look on my face and starts laughing. “You sometimes forget that I remember every face and name of people that I have met.”
Jean walks in and asks Christa to help her get everything ready for dinner. My eyes follow Christa as she follows Jean in to the kitchen.
I gesture to the living room and Stella guides Izzy to a couch in front of the window. Instead of getting straight to the point, Stella asks her about her friends, Alpha Maddox and his Sister–in–law.
When she ask about the latter, I can tell that Izzy is not big fan. But she keeps her answer polite and if it had not been for my gift, I would not have known that he does not like the woman.
“There is
one topic that Stella avoids, because we know that this is a sore subject for any member of the Red Moon Pack.
Just as I think that Stella will come to the point, Christa walks in and tells us that dinner is ready.
I walk ahead of Stella and Izzy to the dining–room, keeping an eye on Christa.

During dinner we talk about a variety of subjects and I can tell that Izzy is starting to relax. After dinner we go back to the living–room and Jean gets us all coffee.
Izzy’s POV.
Since we got to the Pack–house, I have been having this feeling something is going on between Alpha Chris and Christa. But it looks like they are hiding it from each other.
“Izzy, can you tell me why you came to see me or would you prefer to do this in private?” Stella asks me and it pulls me out of my thoughts.
I take a sip from my coffee to give me the time to think whether I am willing to tell my story to all of them.
I tell her that my story is not that shocking and it sends Christa in to a fit of laughter. From the corner of my eye, I see Alpha Chris looking at her and for a second I can see affection in his eyes.
