I bow my head, tell him my name and from which Pack I am. “Welcome to Red Dawn Pack, Izzy.” He greets me. I look up at him and I see a huge grin on his face.
He tells me my escort had left a mind–link open and he had heard my comment. And the smile on his face. becomes even bigger. The two men that guided me to the Pack–house come out of the forest, in human- form and dressed in sweatpants.
The Alpha invites me in and he proceeds towards his office, the two men following behind me. “I was looking at you, because I was wondering why a girl looking like you would be out there by herself.” One of the men says.
The Alpha makes quick introductions, the one that spoke is named Andrew, his Beta and the other is Paul, his Gamma and he tells me to call him Donny..
“Well, Andrew. Do you think that someone would survive attacking a Commander in a Lycan army?” Task.
“No one would be stupid enough to do that. It would be suicide.” Is Paul’s response.
Then I was just fine out there, wasn’t I?” And I look at Andrew, his jaw drops and Donny starts laughing. Both men look at me and it takes them a second to process what I just said. “I am Commander in Alpha Maddox’s Army.” I clarify myself.
Alpha Donny’s POV
I never met Izzy before, but the second she walked up to the house I knew she was a high–ranking Lycan. I had not expected her to be a Commander in Alpha Maddox’s army. Like me, he is strict in who he appoints as a Commander.
“Why didn’t Maddox let me know that you were coming?” I ask.
“I’m sorry, Donny. But Alpha Maddox is unaware of this visit. And I would appreciate it if you could keep this a secret. I don’t know if you are aware of this, but every year on Luna Gina’s birthday we have a memorial and a Pack–member prepares a speech.” She look at me to see if I was aware of this.
“I know about this tradition. And I feel grateful he keeps her memory alive.” I know she can tell it is difficult for me to talk about Cina.
“This year I volunteered to hold the speech, but I wanted to do something different. I came here in the hope to find out more about Luna Gina before she joined our Pack. To find out more about the Pack she grew up in.”
A small smile appears on my face and I nod my head. think that is an excellent idea. There are even some family members still living here, maybe they can tell you about her bloodline.”
Andrew suggests that I asks a few Pack–members if they are willing to share their stories about Gina. I nod and through the mind–link I reach out to a few members, it takes a while before I look at her and tell her that in the morning she can use my office to talk to people that knew her the best.
“And I will go see her relatives in the morning and ask if they are willing to meet with you.” Paul says.

Paul, Andrew and Donny tell me their stories involving Luma Gina. She was a caring woman, something I witnessed first–hand.
She helped Paul when he found his Mate and made the stupid mistake of walking away from her. “I hope she kicked your ass for that.” I say and a voice from the doorway says: “No, but I use it against him every change I get.” And I can’t help but laugh at Paul’s expense.
Andrew’s story was a sad one, she had been there for him after his mother was killed by a rogue.
And Donny relied on her a lot to help him with various Pack problems. He hadn’t found his Mate yet and Luna Gina had helped him in any way she could. A year before Alpha Maddox met Luna Gina, Donny had finally found his Mate and Luna Gina had helped her settle in to the Pack as their Luna.
“I still miss her.” A soft voice says, as a petit, dark–haired woman walks in and sits on Donny’s lap.
We talk throughout dinner and just before midnight I excuse myself. I need some sleep and I have to let Stephan know that I will do the memorial speech this year.
So I send him an e–mail from my phone and tell him to make sure that he puts himself on the list. Within a few minutes I have a response that it is taken care off
After breakfast Donny guides me back to his office and feel bad for deceiving him this way, but I myself that one day I will tell him the truth.
I thank him for the use of his office as he walks out the door.
