Chapter 359 Our Advantage
Morgan’s p.o.v.
Okay, I believe I have said this before and I will say it again, I am not a girly girl.
This Introduction Ceremony is going to be the death of me, it wasn’t easy to get all the decisions made, and there was a lot to consider for the venue and the Ceremony.
Our dress code was simple: Festive Cocktail Attire. From there, we had to make a few tough decisions because we needed to ensure that no one would show up in too revealing outfits. So after a few tries to get it right, we finally had the dress code completely done.
The dress code states: Festive Cocktail Attire; no black tie or gala attire allowed. Dress; no more than two inches above the knee. No unnecessary showing of skin. No tie or pocket square. No Sneakers.
We added the “no sneakers” line beneath it or my Mate would have shown up wearing sneakers, not on my watch.
Now we have to pick out our outfits for the Ceremony and Giselle has been showing me dresses that make me want to puke. I know she is just teasing Casimir, but she does know how to pick them.
“Morgan, who is on your death list?” I hear Mateja ask from behind me and I turn around with a smile on my face.
“Congratulations, Amir. If you ever need someone to help you dispose of his body…” I say teasingly to Mateja and Amir pulls her close to his chest.
“To answer your question, Mateja. Our future Queen.” I finally answer her and Giselle is theatrically objecting, knowing full well that I would never harm her or let harm come to her.
Mateja wants to say something else when Giselle turns her tablet towards the two of us and we both stare at the dress, this one is just too hideous. It is a knee-length dress with beading all over the bodice and it would probably look cute on someone, but not in neon pink.
“I think I am starting to understand it, need help to hide her body?” Mateja asks as she leans towards me, a horrified look in her eyes. “I would rather go back to my lost memories.”
None of us says a word, because we want to give Mateja the chance to make up her mind on telling us about what she remembers or if she would like to keep that to herself. I hope that she will tell us at least some of her regained memories, but she should at least tell Amir if she remembers anything about getting the poison from her Mother.
“Mom rejected Dad in front of me and at first he refused to accept her rejection, but when she threatened to feed me the poison he finally accepted her rejection. Only for Mom to force the poison down my throat anyway, she didn’t want me to remember how happy I had been with Dad.” Mateja whispers.
“Do you remember why she rejected your Father?” Casimir asks and for a moment I fear that she never knew the reason.
