Chapter 365 Our Rules
Casimir’s p.o.v.
Our Deltas have closed in on us the moment Alpha Paul grabbed Mateja, we all know that he made the mistake of thinking that he grabbed Giselle.
“Move to the stage, you and Giselle won’t leave it until we head to the dining room.” Dad says in my ear and I gently push Giselle in the direction of the stage, while our eyes are glued on Echo.
I see an evil smirk on Amir’s face as Echo slashes Alpha Paul’s abdomen with her claw, it serves him right but I still think that she should have killed him.
“He thought she was Giselle and I want to know who else is aware of her lineage.” Dad says in my head and I softly mutter a curse or two.
He was after my Mate and I hadn’t thought of that possibility. I will not trust another male near my Mate, no one will take her from me and I will protect her with my life if I have to.
“Why don’t you take her upstairs, Sweetheart?” I hear Dad ask Yara. “She needs to change into a new dress, it is already on the bed.”
It has been done like this for centuries, a duplicate of the outfit is made and if it is necessary, it can be brought up to our floor in seconds. This isn’t the first time someone has shifted, but usually it isn’t a female that shreds her clothes and needs to head back upstairs.
Yara strokes Echo’s fur while they walk out of the ballroom and I chuckle softly as I see Alphas and Lunas stepping back as Echo walks past them.
“She looks amazing and she isn’t afraid to show who is in control.” Giselle says and I smile at her as I pull her into my arms.
“I hope that each of you understands that I will tolerate no disrespect to anyone. Mateja is the Mate of Commander Amir and you might be seeing more of her in the future, depending on what Commander Amir decides to do.” Dad says.
There are Alphas and Lunas that seem to understand the underlying warning, but I can also see a few Alphas that don’t look very impressed with his words. Those will find out soon enough that Dad wasn’t kidding, because some things will change at the Academy and it will happen soon.
Dad announces that dinner is ready and, like every other time, there are those that don’t appreciate the rules, complaining amongst themselves as they walk to the dining room.
“That girl might kill someone before the night is over.” Vlad says as we hear Echo putting a Luna in her place.
“Why is it so damn difficult for some to understand that we have rules for a reason?” Mateja asks as she walks towards us.
She slowly gets out of her seat, her eyes glued to somewhere behind me and we all understand that someone’s thoughts have come through.
“Your Majesty, I suggest that you throw out all the liquids that were handed to you as a gift. Someone in here has poisoned some of the bottles, I will find out who it is and that person will pay with their life.” We hear Morgan say, Amra’s voice interlaced with hers.
A young female jumps up and runs for the door when Morgan finishes speaking, but she hadn’t counted on our Warriors. I have no idea which Pack she belongs to or what her rank is, not that it will do her any good, she will have to face charges and with Giselle at my side, we will find all the answers.
I enjoy the rest of our dinner, while I listen to the people around me talking. Most of them will be in my everyday life and others I will see once in a while, but each of them will always be welcome at the Palace.
Servants walk around to clear tables of empty dishes, refilling empty glasses and placing filled dishes on the tables. I lean back in my chair to look around the dining room and growl softly when I see that one of the Alphas’ Daughters has broken our rules.
“Dad, I thought you greeted everyone and checked if the outfits were according to our rules?” I ask through the mind-link, making sure that everyone who needs to hear this, can hear it.
“We did, Son. Why do you ask?” Dad informs, but I don’t have to answer him.
