Chapter 432
Maleah’s p.o.v.
I needed the nap I took in the back of Fortune’s mind, I needed to let my mind run free and Fortune needed to run in her Lycan form. It didn’t take me long to doze off, but the moment she stopped running I was wide awake and in a bit of a panic I might add.
Listening to her as she is talking about building another house I just smile, she has forgiven them for what they did and I hope they will learn from today. Fortune and I have never felt better than since we found out there was a connection between us and Mack and that feeling became stronger when we realized we had three Mates.
Something I still have to get used to, just like Mack, Kay and Levi have to get used to as well and I am not sure if that will be easy for males that never had to think about sharing a Mate. I hope they took the time today to think about if they are willing to share a Mate and I hope they will be honest with me if they doubt that they can share a Mate.
I feel that the amount of Warriors along our borders have increased and I wonder what is going on.
I start to use my gift of sense to find out that there are Lycans on the road ahead of us and when Fortune asks me where they are I realize they are near the spot where Pauline and Harvey picked me up.
I giggle when I see Kay landing on his ass and I enjoy the look on his face when Fortune stands right above him, but I sober up quickly when I realize that they thought I had been taken.
I put my clothes back on after Fortune has released control back to me and I am in Levi’s arms before I can say a word.
“Let’s discuss this in our office.” Dominic says before he walks back into our territory and the Warriors rush off in different directions, while Levi still has his face buried in my neck. I try to get out of his arms to hold my other Mates but Levi isn’t letting go and I smile when I feel Kay and Mack stepping closer to my sides, sandwiching me between the three of them.
“I would like to keep breathing, I think Dominic really wants some answers.” I mumble softly.
All three of them growl softly but they release the hold they have on me, Mack and Kay each wrap an arm around my waist as we walk to the Pack-house and Levi is right behind me to keep an eye on me.
I think they fear I might disappear if they don’t hold on to me or keep an eye on me, “Not a chance in hell, they are stuck with us.” Fortune mumbles as she curls up in the back of my head and slowly but steadily her breathing evens out, fast asleep by the time we reach the Pack-house.
Mack and Kay step aside the moment Elyse rushes towards us and a moment later I am wrapped in her arms, “I was so worried about you, Maleah. I am so glad you are okay.” She says as she softly cries and I realize I need to warn my Alphas next time I go off on an assignment if I don’t have the chance to warn one of my Mates.
Almost all of them react the same way, “Your research was correct.” Only my Alphas have an amused smile on their faces, but they don’t say a word.
“Mack, care to explain why your Mate was unable to get a hold of you.” Dominic asks and I know he wants the truth from Mack. I see him looking at Kay and Levi, the moment they nod their heads he turns to me.
“You asked us to think about the connection you feel to the three of us, but truth be told we didn’t need to think about it. About a year after we left for our training with the Elders some idiot was responsible for Dillon getting injured and it didn’t look good for a few days.
Dax made the remark that is was a good thing he didn’t have a Mate and it made the three of us and our Lycans think, if something happens to one of our Alphas our Luna still has two Mates left to care for her. If something would happen to one of us our Mate would be on her own and each of us talked to one of our Alphas about how that made us feel.
We never knew from the others that they felt the same way, that we didn’t want to risk leaving our Mate behind. Kay thought about it a lot better than me or Levi and he even went as far as designing a house that he wanted to build for his Mate, with the hope that he would share his Mate with at least one other male.
We got a bit too preoccupied with the interior of the house and trying to figure out what you might like or dislike.” Mack says and suddenly Fortune perks up in my head, she really likes the idea of a house that can accommodate all four of us and our future Pups.
