Chapter 440
Delaney’s p.o.v.

I was woken by a loud knocking on my door and before opening the door I asked who it was, luckily it was one of the men from Maleah’s team.

“Maleah found a Pack that is willing to take you and the others in, pack your stuff.” He says the moment I have opened the door. “All eight of you will be going to Blood Crescent Pack, it means better protection for all of you.” He continues before he walks back down the hall and I sigh in relief.

No more worrying if Father will find me or if Maleah’s men will be able to protect me when he does find me. Now all I have to worry about is whether or not her Alphas will accept me as a Pack-member when they find out who my Father is, but I know one thing for sure I am not going back to him and I think I would rather go Rogue.

My Lycan growls at the thought of being forced to go home and I have to remind her of the promise we made each other just before Maleah found us.

Pauline puts me in an SUV and it is just the two of us, “Just in case we run into your Father, I would hate to put anyone else in jeopardy.” She answers my unspoken question as we pull away from the safehouse and about ten minutes later Harvey calls to tell us that my Father was spotted in the area of the safehouse, he tells Pauline to step on it.

As we are nearing the border of Blood Crescent Pack I see the Lycans approaching they sent to keep us from harm and I sigh in relief when we reach Maleah’s house.

Her Father introduces himself and the male that is standing next to him, I can feel that both of them are Assassins and with Pauline there I feel relieved. Maleah will not allow my Father to come anywhere near me, but she doesn’t know the full story and I think that before the day is over that she will know the whole truth.

We have been talking for a while when Harvey shows up and we can tell that he is very agitated about something.

“Maleah would like to see all of you at the Pack-house and I could use some time alone with my Mate.” He says before he buries his nose in Pauline’s neck.

Maleah’s Father tells them which room they can use before we leave them and both males flank me as we walk towards the Pack-house. I don’t pay much attention to my surroundings as my mind keeps flying in every direction, I know the Alphas want to know my life story before they will even consider letting me stay.

I become more anxious the closer we get to the Pack-house and I really appreciate that Maleah leaves every choice to me, something my Father never allowed me to do. I accept the offer of breakfast from Elyse and I feel more hesitant the closer I get to the Alpha office, but I know Maleah will do what she promise me.

It wasn’t until I was about nine or ten that I found out that people feared my Father so much that they didn’t dare to say a wrong word in my presence, it took a few years before they realized I would never go to my Father with what I heard. After that they spoke a bit more freely around me and I found out that my Mother didn’t die when I was a young Pup.

My Father rejected her for only given him one heir and a weak female at that. No matter how often I asked him about her my Father refused to answer any of my questions, all I would hear from him was that she had been useless and that I was only good for one thing. To take a Mate of his choosing and put Pups into the world.” I have to stop my life story when I hear three loud roars and no one has to point out to me that they came from my Mates.

“Maybe you can sit on Dominic’s lap, he’s the one in the middle. With you near them their Lycans will probably stay calm enough, so you can finish your story.” Maleah says trough the mind-link and even though I am nervous as hell I get out of my seat, my Mates look worried when I get up but that changes when I walk towards them.

Dominic pulls me closer to his chest while Dillon and their Brother lean closer to me and I look towards Maleah because I would like to know the name of my other Mate.

“His name is Dax.” She answers my unspoken question and I can feel myself calming down by their presence alone.
